FF14 not exiting properly since update

Same issue here as well. Found no reliable way to deal with it. Logging out then exiting does nothing and it seems purely luck of the draw when it will exit properly as it will do so on some occasions.

I've been having the same problem since the update. Despite where I log out / exit the game it just gets stuck on the blackscreen

Blackscreens with Logout then Exit, as well as Exit. Doesn't matter whether I'm in an inn, rested area, outside of a rested area.

Still happening to me on PS3 and where the PC players can simply close it up WE cannot. It restarts the PS3 fully and logs us out of PSN.

So its an issue to us (PS3 users), and personally, im gettin real tired of being ignored.

I have the same issue on my PS3. Blackscreen when I try to go back to the login screen and then PS3 restarts or I have to turn it off myself.
I also have to reset my password now when I try to login again after this blackscreen issue because for some reason my account gets restricted everytime due to changes in my connection or suspicious activity. This happend 3 times now.

That's pretty annoying SE.

I'm having this happen on my PS3 almost everytime I choose "Exit Game" also. If I choose "Log Out" and then simply Quit Game from the XMB it seems to work fine, but choosing "Exit Game" from either the Inn or wherever else that option is causing a black screen, PS3 reboot, etc as others have said.

Same problem here. The game hangs on a black screen upon exit and never errors out, so the only way to get rid of it is to kill the process manually.

PC Windows 7 64-bit.

I have the exact same issue as OP; however, it only affects 2 of the computers in my household.

Affected computers:
1. Windows 7 Pro 64-bit w/EVGA GTX 780 GPU
2. Windows 7 Pro 64-bit w/EVGA GTX 760 SC GPU

Computers NOT affected:
1. Windows 8 Pro 64-bit w/Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU

* * NOTE Our PS3 does not seem to be affected yet and logs off game properly like the Windows 8 machine.
