Same issue here...Windows 8.1 Pro x64
As I already said before in thread I have same problem, but I tried yesterday to ONLY "log out" from game to the title screen. Then on PS3 I holded the PS button until it comes to the menu to turn off game / controller etc. Choose "Quit game"
from there. I tried it numerous times by now and that works.
You guys on PC could try similar. Choose the "log out" only then just try quit the game however you want. Window mode could just try " red X " in corner or whateverOr try kill it with task manager , ESC etc..
Hope they fix soon though..

The game is getting stuck in an internal thread that won't terminate and allow the game to exit gracefully.

I thought this was fixed, but just ran into the same problem again tonight. I went to exit the game and got a black screen. Had to manually close the process with the task manager.
Log Out, Exit - always exits fine
Exit - always fails

I have to add a 'me too'. Black screen upon exiting game. Using a PS3.
ditto (PC Version)
Same thing on PC, ever since 2.05 I believe, or maintenant the day after 2.05. Exit on a black screen that can only be killed with Task Manager. I'm using Windows 8.1 if that helps.
Only works for me if I log out in the inn.
