Exiting Game

After the patch today, every time I try and exit the game the screen goes black but the program does not actually exit. I have to launch the task manager and end the process.

Any known fix? I looked around the option for some kind of file verification option to see if it was on my end, but that doesn't seem to exist?

EDIT: If, when getting into a bed, I choose "log out" instead of "exit", and then exit from the main menu instead - that works normally.
