I'd be inclined to run AK non-stop if there's no wait anymore. You can convert 125 philo for gil by selling for crafting mats too.

Well a good/fast AK run takes about 30min, you get 40 TM and 100 TP.
(you only need 4 people)

At Garuda, you need 8 people, where the chance someone can mess it up is higher, escpecially with random people.

If you only need TM and you play with your FC/Linkshell people, yea your math is right and Garuda is more entertaining than AK.

And I'm pretty sure Squeenix's intention was to expand the amount of ways you can get Tomestones in a reasonable timeframe, not to give you a new place to munchkin/faceroll of the month your way through. Your problem if you want to play for maximum efficiency.

Was doing Garuda in about 3 minutes from the time of engagement last night with my FC, has room for improvement and my gear is pretty terrible, and that was with us killing the regen sister second because it spawned on the far side. Don't know if it got any regen tics off, but I am assuming it got at least 1-2. If everything goes right and the group has better gear + optimal setup it can easily be done in less than 3. On the other hand, we can do AK speed runs in abut 15-20 minutes so it is superior in terms of PHILOSOPHY farming only under the premise that there is no wait time to get into the instance. Probably going to just cap out myths on garuda this week and go back to grinding prae which I assume hasn't changed much since no one is complaining about it.

If I have a choice between doing 8 Amdapors or 30 Garudas in roughly the same amount of time, I'm probably going to do the 8 Amdapors. At least then it's not quite as repetitive as doing literally the same single encounter 30 times.

But in reality, I'm probably going to do some Amdapors mixed with a few WPs and a primal or two. I'll welcome the change of pace.
