    World Transfer, Legacy to non-Legacy

Please SE give us any info on not restricting this transfer. My friends and coworkers all started on non Legacy servers after I talked them into playing, my son and his wife and I are on a legacy server, and would love to join the 8 of them (as you can see it is alot easier for us transfer then them) I understand the economy plays a big part but i would gladly give up most of my gill. Please SE, please let me know when i can play again ?

If you are in the same boat, please let us know.

Another one of these threads. They already said it won't happen months till now for legacy to non legacy to happen. Check all the developer blogs and the lodestone in general for information.

Probably because all of the legacy servers are full a mere couple hours into being able to transfer?

Edit: At this point they really need to just open it up for all, OR to add an additional legacy server or two. Since people can't leave legacy, the only other option is for people to go TO them, and that's likely to cause as many problem (if not more), than just simply letting them transfer everywhere to begin with.

Having millions of gil dump into a server can cause economic problems, sure. But so can having millions of gil leave as well.

Seriously, it's kind of a dick move to close off servers to new character creation while promising you'll be able to transfer later...and they say whoops, nevermind, that server is closed off from transfers, and oh by the way, we won't allow the reverse transfer to happen so that your friends can come to you. The only solution is for both parties to abandon their servers for Saragahgangnagnagtantananta (Legacy). Hurray?

Sure just let legacy accounts with millions of gil jump onto a new server, buy all the philosophy items and muscle other crafters out of the market.

While we're being sarcastic: Sure, because there's no way that non-legacy servers already have inflated prices, and there's definitely no way SE can restrict how much gil can be transferred.
