8 mans pointless now

I for one am not excited about having to farm AK and WP over and over all week for tomes. I can only imagine the poor guys who had only AK to farm before 2.05, I just hit 50 recently and am about to start farming tomes. Even with CM and Praet thrown into the mix, doing nothing but those four dungeons literally hundreds of times over and over and over... I haven't even started farming and already I find myself helping people with Hydra/Chimera just to break the monotony. There aren't enough 50 4 man dungeons, and NONE that aren't for your story/relic... well, there's Coil, but I haven't got that far and don't know anything about it.

The lack of content is going to leave so many people burnt out so quickly. Just at the prospect of doing it I find myself wanting to level everything else first, until they add more content. The pacing is terrible as well, the Relic weapon is obtained WAY too easily. What is the point in having Ifrit/Garuda/Titan weapons when it usually takes 5-10 runs of them to get your weapon, when you only have to do them once each to get your relic?

I started out as a brand new level 50, and I got my relic in two days of light playing, without even knowing how to obtain it beforehand. I ran dungeons to level to 50 so I had enough Tomes to get the materials to make myself a Vanya robe of Healing, so I had that as soon as I hit 50. I also made myself Erudite's healing book, and had multitudes of rank III materia waiting for me because I didn't know which it took, and I spiritbond a lot. I got one or two FC friends to help me out with Chimera, Hydra, Ifrit and Garuda, pugged the rest, and did that all in a day. Then I was told I need 3200+ health for Titan, so I joined a group for Garuda and got my Scholar's book the first try. I slotted one rank III Vitality materia into all my jewelry except my Neck piece because it was a dungeon drop, and has no materia slots. The next day I did Titan in a Pug.

95% of everything I did was done the same day I hit 50, and I ONLY got Garuda's weapon because it was a requirement for Titan. There was literally ZERO need to go for Ifrit's, and I sure as hell won't be going for Titan's unless I can find a really good farming group. After all that I farmed Ifrit because I really love the way the book looks, and my friend wanted his weapon for the looks as well, but that is the only reason I got it.

Sorry for the rant, went a little off topic there. Of course I know a bunch of people will disagree with me, just because... You know, there are thousands of people here who will deny with hard facts and tell you you're wrong, or that your opinion is wrong, lol.

There will never be a lack of people willing to complain about something, no matter what you do. That being said though, this game does have a small mountain of seemingly small issues that are really starting to stack up

I think the whole point of what they did is to get people to STOP farming CM and Prae. They are story dungeons and should stay that way. I personally prefer 4 man content as a Tank. I like being the only tank in the dungeon

As for 8-man content. I think the tombs on CM and Prae should stay where they are. If anything they should release a new dungeon that is 8-man (maybe ilevel 65 gear) that drops both philo and myth tombs.

There was too much conflict between people doing the story and people wanting to farm Prae and CM. People simply following the story quest were coming into these dungeons to demands that they skip cut scenes, and being harassed if the watch them, and even if they didn't play so well. If I were a dev in charge of this game, I would not allow my paying customers to have their gaming experience ruined like that. So SE made it basically pointless to farm those dungeons.

I definitely agree that those are story 8 mans and should be left that way, not meant to be farmed. But with those taken away for story content, we have no 8 man dungeons left. And no Primals don't count, its just a boss. Maybe Coils but I haven't got there yet, we need some actual 8 man content around iLvl 50-70. Three different ones would be idea, one for iLvl 50, one for 60, one for 70.

Well for fresh 50's CM is still the easiest content to earn tomes for more geared obviously we have better and more options. Also if you need to run a bunch of new people up with gear its easier to do CM then to try and take them in small groups through AK or WP.

Really, they should have had hard modes for a few of the leveling dungeons at launch. This would have helped tremendously.

Here's a crazy concept, so try to stick with me. Maybe people will run the 8 man content because...they enjoy the content. It's not all about farming.
