Main scenario quest bug "Lady of the Vortex" ongoing issue (Almost 2 months!)

I don't see where it says you've abandon the quest, so I will ask. Have you? I too have been stuck in multiple quests including inside dungeons. Even though it was frustrating to start the quest all over again, it has fixed bug related issues. I also suggest looking for a main/side quest guide for a detailed explanation on step by step instructions for the quest. Some quest really don't give a hint on what to do next.

Anyway, abandoning the quest does reset it where cache's of information does get overwritten. You can also try running a check on your FFXIV files just in-case for any corrupted files and also basic troubleshooting like un/reinstalling.

I don't have the quest to abandon it; I would gladly reset my quests if I could. I thoroughly followed a guide to see if I missed anything since it has been a while since I got access to the quest and there is nothing that I am missing. Reinstalling my game might be a bit much. I doubt this is a client side issue but if that would resolve my issue 100% I'm willing to reinstall.

You can't abandon main scenario quests. The button isn't there.

Sadly..

Hopefully SE will add an abandon and reset button for the main scenario to circumvent issues like this in the future.

I too am having the same problem.

World: Leviathan
Character: Phoenix Born
Job: Lvl 48 White Mage

I called a GM today about it and they asked me to make a post here about it. I was hoping it was a bug that was going to be fixed in the 2.05 Hot fix patch.

I thought the hot fix was going to fix this bug as well...
