I was going to reroll... but SE decided to lock character creation on it before i could... i even waited 3 days to see if they would open up...

Made my toon in beta, was out of town for release, when i came back all friends were on Cactaur while i could not make a toon on it so i started to keep leveling my 15 toon on hyperion.... not too complicated i hope?

That still leaves them not willing to move to an open server with you (especially since that option is open to them now without having to reroll at all). If you're not worth it to them, why are they worth this to you?

Edit: Technically, Sargatanas is not on the crowded list. All of you could transfer there, since Legacy server -> Legacy Server, and Non-legacy -> Legacy Server transfers are allowed. You get to keep your character, they keep to keep theirs, and everyone's together again.

Friendly advise, firstly, is to stop using the term "toon" in reference to your character... but that's a suggestion only if you would like to save yourself the incoming guff from other members of the community.


Secondly, unfortunate circumstances not-withholding, you should be able to transfer if you are not a Legacy member. But be sure to analyze the following page with utmost attention to detail to acertain your eligibility for transfer:

If you feel as though you aren't able to get the particular details you would like to know, ask the Support Center as indicated on that website.

As far as that goes, man, no one else here will be able to properly guide your decisions as far as subbing or not. You will ultimately do what you will. If you aren't feeling 'warm and fuzzy' about the transfer, shoot a question to the Support Center. If you want to just bask in the "unknowing" and make your decision off of things that may or may not be true, that's all on you. Personally, I'd rather know the particulars of a situation before making decisions as the one you're going to make.

Just posting a separate post to clear this up, but whether or not your character can transfer servers has -nothing- to do with whether you are a Legacy Account Member or whether or not your character came over from 1.0. The restrictions are focused on the economy, and whether you're a Legacy member or your character came from 1.0, if your character is currently on a Legacy server, it has had access to the economy from that server and will not be allowed to move off to a non-legacy server, only another Legacy server (presumably only if it's not on the 'Crowded' list shown on the page in the link below.)

This page has all the relevant info, and if you scroll down, it will show you a simple chart showing the 3 combinations of possible server transfer situations, and which ones are allowed and which ones aren't.

I created my char on Hyperion (Legacy Server), at the request of a friend. Then it filled before my other friends got in, so they waited awhile...ended up going to Diabolos. So, I've been waiting for transfers myself to hit up Diabolos, being a non-legacy player I was under the impression I'd be able to, but then SE puts out the notice that Legacy SERVER can't transfer to new SERVER (nothing about characters...). I just tried doing transfer to check it out myself, but it gives me "unavailable or under maintenance", could just be flooded so popping that message on me due to that, so I will continue trying in hopes I can get past this Legacy nonsense

They've said since...I think BEFORE launch they would not allow legacy to transfer to non legacy worlds until months down the line when all world's economies are stabilized. This is not new information.

SE clearly said from day 1 transfers between legacy and non-legacy would not be for 6months. your friends rolled non-legacy and you chose to stay on legacy servers so you knew from day one it would be about 6months before you could play with them and now you want to QQ and blame SE?

If you waned to play with them you had 2 choices, 1 roll on their server (wait out till opened up) 2. roll on another non-legacy server and wait till today to join them. you didnt do either of these and your the only one to blame for this mess up...

To be fair, those of us (at least myself, not to lump all into one lol) that rolled to a Legacy server have never claimed to be Legacy, because well...we aren't. Isn't there a way SE could see who is a true Legacy character or not, and allow the non-Legacy's, that ended up on Legacy, to roll over?

yes yes, these transfer restrictions that have been talked about for ages, reposted and restated for ages were specifically done to screw YOU.

Get over it. You should have coordinated things better, or researched more when you realized that there were different kinds of servers.

Just because you can't get the hang of figuring out simple things doesn't mean you were singled out to be screwed. And obviously you aren't the only one affected by this because there's a dozen new threads about this every day where someone is crying that they can't transfer. Ugh. Post in one of them so you can all cry together.

No one on fresh servers can xfer to legacy unless it's to Sargatanas. All other Legacy servers are apparently full/locked at least that's what I've been hearing. So new players wanting to join friends on Legacy are pretty much SoL too.
