Chocobo Barding doesn't carry between GC

Steps:
Changed from Twin Adder Grand Company to Maelstrom Grand Company to acquire the Minions and Barding from there, but after changing when I checked my chocobo menu I noticed I no longer could change to my Gridanian bardings even though they were still equipped. I currently have no barding available except for Behemoth barding, not even the Saddle type barding is available. My poor chocobo either has to dress up as a chocobo or go naked

It's like GC equip.
Cannot use on change, you have to go back to that GC.

That doesn't explain why you can't get the saddle for that nation though, nor does it explain why the other nations barding isn't removed from your chocobo.

if I'm not wrong you cannot buy a saddle, that's maybe something SE should add or convert on GC change.
