Another workaround:
Don't limit your Frame Rate, specially when client inactive (for the alt tab complaints).

Thank you, That solved it for me.Solution: Note that after changing from "Full Screen" to "Windowed" mode (ScreenMode 1) and then going back to "Full Screen" will help, but it can be annoying to do this every time when game starts... so instead switch to third option - "Borderless Windowed" - it will render everything just like in "Full Screen" mode and mouse will work fine there aswell.
same issue with razer naga
Changing my roccat kone+'s polling rate to 125 fixed it too.Hey Guys,
Found this thread and saw the mix of Brand names, so knew it was game related.
It's certainly been introduced by the 2.05 patch.
I've been able to fix this inside the Mouse software (Razer Synapse for my Naga 2014 ED)
http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...yacceleration/
*FIXED*
The issue is with the "Polling Rate" i had mine set at 1000 previously and was working fine (pre 2.05). However now it makes the mouse slide and judder around the screen - unplayable. Using Synapse i've set this down to 125 and the issue has now ceased, cranking it back to 1000 and you can see the lag come back.
*FIXED*
Unsure what theyve done here but hopefully this helps return the game to a playable state for those who have access to this setting in their mouse driver! *Fingers Crossed*
Changed my g500's polling from 500 to 125 and also fixed the problem.
I would enable hyperscroll and just fling the wheel and FFXIV would start making very loud angry hardware error beeps at me![]()
Having this exact issue with my Logitech MX Revolution mouse. My mouse works just fine within the game, but if alt-tabbed out, it is horribly slow, like 1.0's software mouse. It makes looking things up on the internet or posting things here on the forums while the game is running very difficult. The issue goes away when I shut down the game.Yeah, this issue has started up with my Logitech G300 today. Can't tab out without mouse sensitivity going to an annoyingly slow pace. Tab back in and all is fine. Tried with other games to confirm it wasn't my PC, no other games have the issue. Hopefully this gets fixed sooner than later.
If I disable 'Limit frame rate while client is inactive', my mouse works just fine outside the game, but then it reduces the camera sensitivity within the game.

Yeah something is seriously broken. The frame limit when inactive is wrecking everything outside the game which shouldn't be happening.Having this exact issue with my Logitech MX Revolution mouse. My previous "working" status after setting the poll rate on my mouse to 125 just got undone with a bluescreen. After getting back in game i now still have the mouse issue even at 125 polling rateThis really needs to get fixed asap because good lord it's awful.
I'm having the issue as well - Windows 8 with a Razor DeathAdder mouse. My problem seems to resolve if I alt-tab from the game after logging in. It's definitely something that got broke when they patched the game. Hopefully they'll hotfix it soon. Atleast for right now - alt tabbing at log in isn't that big a deal, since I alt-tab pretty frequently anyhow. Just curious if that is working for anyone else?
I also use razer naga and simply alt tabbing out and then back to the game fixes it for me.
Hi there ! Same problem here !
Loggin today after the patch and it's unplayable. In fact even the mouse cursor is laggy and drop some frames...
I tried to up my mouse dpi but even at 5000 dpi the camera is too slow. and add another problem : the mouse cursor is too fast I can't clic inventory etc.
Patch the patch please... :/
