This could be a bug or something. I'm having the exact same issue. Sometimes it gets fixed for the duration of my game session if I alt+tab out and in a lot, and CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the task manager.

I use a razer naga as well with all the latest drivers.

Deleting the config files has worked so far for me. I logged in, played for 30m during lunch. Logged out and logged back in and still everything seems okay. So far so good here, will have to see how repeated log ins affects it.

    Hey Guys,

Found this thread and saw the mix of Brand names, so knew it was game related.
It's certainly been introduced by the 2.05 patch.
I've been able to fix this inside the Mouse software (Razer Synapse for my Naga 2014 ED)

    http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...yacceleration/

    *FIXED*
The issue is with the "Polling Rate" i had mine set at 1000 previously and was working fine (pre 2.05). However now it makes the mouse slide and judder around the screen - unplayable. Using Synapse i've set this down to 125 and the issue has now ceased, cranking it back to 1000 and you can see the lag come back.
    *FIXED*

Unsure what theyve done here but hopefully this helps return the game to a playable state for those who have access to this setting in their mouse driver! *Fingers Crossed*

Having issues similar to those of the OP; slow tracking and camera movement in game, coupled with very laggy movement when ALT-TABbed back to the Desktop. Affects full-screen and borderless windowed mode; haven't tried regular windowed mode but I imagine there'd be similar issues.

Windows 8, pretty standard setup, using a rapidly-aging Logitech G5 on the default Windows drivers (no Logitech software installed) - so it's not just the newer / fancier mice! =p

Deleted the FFXIV.cfg file from Documents to fix; it seems to be working okay but I'm on the first run.
I really don't want to be doing this on a regular basis; resetting my options and watching the unskippable intro video is going to wear on my patience rather rapidly.

EDIT: Changing the line "ScreenMode: 1" to: "ScreenMode: 0" appears to fix the issue. Needs to be done on each login using something like Notepad++, which will retain line endings etc.

It's probably the latest version of Synapse that's doing it.

I say that because i spent 6 hours last night after the patch in AK, Hydra, Ifrit and Garuda runs with no issues whatsoever on my Razer Naga, however i haven't updated the driver for it since i bought it last year.

Hello, had the same issue, so:

    1. Made backup of old FFXIV.cfg file before deleting and getting new one after reloading game.

    2. Realoaded game (till intro is over) and then reconfigured everything.

    3. Compared .cfg with old one - they are the same, which means the problem is in game itself and it's not about updating old configuration file, which leads to conclusion that removing .cfg file won't help with anything (at least it won't if you're planning to reconfigure setting to the same state as they were before deleting).

So what's going on? It's not the problem with your mouse, Synapse or Logitech software or anything like that. Preciselly, game is having problems in Full Screen mode (ScreenMode 0 in .cfg) and something is wrong with either using hardware drivers (mouse) or some of graphics settings implementation interfering with them.

Solution: Note that after changing from "Full Screen" to "Windowed" mode (ScreenMode 1) and then going back to "Full Screen" will help, but it can be annoying to do this every time when game starts... so instead switch to third option - "Borderless Windowed" - it will render everything just like in "Full Screen" mode and mouse will work fine there aswell.

Note that if switch to "Borderless Window" is not helping for you, reset to default settings (delete FFXIV.cfg file), then switch to "Bordered Mode", restart client (should still be fine now) and start reconfiguring everything while restarting client every few options (simply applying changes won't cause this mouse error, restart is needed).

Even tho it solves the problem, it would be nice if we got some hotfix ASAP, cause something is clearly wrong.

P.S. You can also uncheck "Limit framerate when game client is inactive", so you can ALT-TAB during these problems - mouse will work normally in Windows from now on.

P.P.S. All of these setting i described are in ESC -> "System Configuration" -> "Display Settings" menu. FFXIV.cfg is located in C:\Users\YOU_USER_NAME\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\ folder.

    Good Luck!
