Whose gonna sit here and f5 it until the early hours tomorrow? =)
I understand and I think we all know that the errors are being caused due to large amount of requests. That is the problem, even we knew that would happen. Just looking at what happened at Early Access, all the restrictions applied when creating characters, it was expected to be a huge load of requests.Hello,
I apologize for the issues that you're all experiencing and the delay in announcing an update on the World Transfer Service.
Currently the World Transfer Service is experiencing issues and generating errors when acquiring characters due to a large amount of transfer requests. Due to this, we are processing the transfer requests slower than anticipated and there may be cases where errors appear during the application process. The development team is working to resolve the core causes of the issue, but until the fixes are completed you may still continue to encounter errors. We anticipate the earliest these countermeasures will be applied to be around the early hours of tomorrow morning.
So, I can't accept the excuse "due to large amount of requests" anymore, I'm sorry.
It sounds rude, but didn't Square Enix learn anything about the previous incidents (only in ARR)? Nothing at all?
Thanks for updating us, though. I appreciate it.
and ignorance spreads. there is a limit to how much you can do when it comes to a grand opening of anything. you can never be prepared enough in those situations, the preparation after ,however, lasts forever. server congestion or people all doing something at once will always slow down others progress so lesson here is grow up, stop bitching, and try again, you'll get through way before tomorrow. and if not its only a day away=3
Wit, an ’t be thy will, put me into good fooling!

And I, that am sure I lack thee, may pass for a wise man.

I think you're missing the point here. It's NOT a "grand opening" of any sort.
It shouldn't be an unexpected situation. Since we all know what happened in Early Access and launch. We know that a lot of people joined a different server because of Character Creation Restriction. How could SE, once again, underestimate the numbers?
"In light of World congestion issues following the game's release, players will be allowed to use the World Transfer Service free of charge from October 15th to October 21th."
So as an apology for congestion issues, they give us congestion issues.
It's not me who should be "trying again", but the Server Transfer that should be working as expected.

AND They aren't letting alot of us actually go to the server we want to go to, because of a mythical population cap that they have implemented because of server loads...instead of beefing specific servers, they opened more servers to force so many people to play without the people that got them to play in the first place in hopes of eventually being able to play together in a social game, the way it is supposed to be.....false hope that it was.

everyone defends P2P games because you're supposed to be able to count on proper service and support. there hasn't been much of any of that with this game so far.
this the first p2p you started from launch of title? cause that's a response from someone who hasn't played anyother at launch. all games are as prepared as ever at launch (give or take a few.) but they all start off with issues when it comes to multiplayer. do you understand why? because of us spamming it like crazy until something breaks, we get in, or we give up! its human to do so, but its ignorant to think its completely the companies fault. like i said to the other two people grow up, stop bitching, and try again and ill add one more thing get some computer management classes cause your spouting shit way above your pay grade could comprehend. good day =)

well you're certainly a douchebag, aren't you?this the first p2p you started from launch of title? cause that's a response from someone who hasn't played anyother at launch. all games are as prepared as ever at launch (give or take a few.) but they all start off with issues when it comes to multiplayer. do you understand why? because of us spamming it like crazy until something breaks, we get in, or we give up! its human to do so, but its ignorant to think its completely the companies fault. like i said to the other two people grow up, stop bitching, and try again and ill add one more thing get some computer management classes cause your spouting shit way above your pay grade could comprehend. good day =)
This your first p2p game from launch? Cause most games have quick intuitive paid transfer services from day one...not to mention they dont have a mechanism in place that separates friends and guilds so extremely to begin with.this the first p2p you started from launch of title? cause that's a response from someone who hasn't played anyother at launch. all games are as prepared as ever at launch (give or take a few.) but they all start off with issues when it comes to multiplayer. do you understand why? because of us spamming it like crazy until something breaks, we get in, or we give up! its human to do so, but its ignorant to think its completely the companies fault. like i said to the other two people grow up, stop bitching, and try again and ill add one more thing get some computer management classes cause your spouting shit way above your pay grade could comprehend. good day =)
Grand opening? Sorry but server transfers have happened before, and this isn't grand opening. As a matter of fact these tranfers wouldn't be happening, if SE hadn't bungled up with 90k.
Secondly, you can be prepared. SE undoubtedly has data from the 90k issue, meaning they have data to work with on what to expect come transfer time and the chance to make contingencies. They did not.
Lastly, Ignorance: lack of knowledge or information.
I fail to see where I'm ignorant at, considering everything I have been typing is true.
So instead of trying to 1 up someone on SE's behalf because you feel the need to defend them, I suggest you quit being naive and accept SE's blunders for what they are: Which is blunders.
