Transfers are up!

They are, however there's many people who early in the xfer stage have successfully xfered onto said "Crowded" Servers, so we know that they were open, but are just arbitrarily locked at the moment. It's not like they haven't allowed xfers onto them at all since they started, which to me would be a completely different issue. The Transfers started out being tied to the Character creation block list, then after 11pm, when the list was updated showing a lot of them dropping off and allowing character creation, Transfers still weren't allowed. I'm hoping 4am's update changes that... maybe.

It's entirely possible they changed how they lock destination servers after things started rolling. Perhaps they saw the trend of tons of people moving onto already-crowded servers and locked them in hopes of not having those servers be totally overloaded; just because some managed to transfer onto them doesn't mean now or the future the same will be true, unfortunately.

Exactly, We don't know, but we'd like to know. They haven't changed any of the rules, or informed us of any change, and as there's a time limit to how long it is free, and many of us are waiting to get on a server with our friends, it's a little annoying that we're getting no word about it besides what seems a very Passive Agressive hint telling us to reroll instead, since Character creation is open, but transfers are blocked.

Character creation is currently open on Excalibur (verified by logging into the game and using the Character Creation tool up until where you can choose the server - Excalibur is definitely an option). Therefore by SE's own rules, transfers should also be possible at this time but it's not showing up in the list of available destinations.

If SE has decided to close a world or two to transfers it would be nice if they could let us know. I spent the better part of the day yesterday refreshing the transfer page periodically and I'd like to know if I should just give up the whole thing or if this is somehow a bug in the app.

Can someone comment on this? We know from experience that SE sometimes changes things without letting anyone know (which is their right), but it would be a great courtesy for us who are trying to go to servers that are magically missing from the list to know if we're wasting time.

What's funny with locling worlds is most people want.to go to these worlds for a reason I.e friends...do you really think locking the servers are going to make them not want to play with their friends anymore? They may aswell unlock all servers and let whatever happen happen. Unless their goal IS to lose subs then stay the course S.E ur doin a good job.

SE is screwing everything up again.... the whole reason is to be able to play with friends... yet they lock the servers people need to goto...... maing it worse legacy cant even move to anything but sargantas which is a dead world due to trolling and elitism. people want excalibur or hyperion but they cant change between them

I wouldn't draw any conclusions based on how the service is operating. As little as 2 hours ago it was still telling some people they had no characters on their account, or no characters to transfer. This was happening yesterday, along with showing only subsets of destination worlds, sometimes only 1 world. People were claiming all Legacy worlds were full, but when the service actually worked for me, all legacy worlds did show in that list, and I successfully transferred to one.

As for what worlds are currently open/closed for character creation, that list is only updated 5 times a day. SE makes changes based on world congestion and that is probably done at any time during the day. In other words, the list tells what the status is around those 5 times, but SE doesn't announce every time it opens or closes character creation on worlds.

The problem is that they are not letting legacy out of legacy servers and all the legacy servers are now full and i cant get into na server stuck in jp server might as well quit and stop paying maybe they will take the hint

I'm having problems transferring to Moogle. Despite the list being updated 5 times a day, it shows as not closed currently AND I can create a character in Moogle, so it's not locked for char creation.
However, it doesn't appear in the realm list. That's the weird thing :/

And I cannot force my friends to move to my current server because I'm just one, and they are ~20, with the FC already maxed and running.
