What did the fix to Embrace AI change?

So, I know the new patch left us able to fully command the pet during casts, which is great. I noticed an additional note:

*[fixed] An issue wherein Eos/Selene did not use “Embrace” to heal the player under certain circumstances.

Has anyone experimented to see if pet is using Embrace more efficiently? I suppose it will be much easier to reset "Steady" between casts, now that we can do it during the cast timer for our next ability.

Not played yet since the patch but maybe she can heal you over a door sill or on a stairway?

I can't tell any difference. The fairy still gets moody when there's an elevation difference between itself and the people it needs to heal, and it still autoheals 10x better if you manually place it in one spot instead of leaving it on Heel. This was probably a really specific edge case they fixed.
