Please do not generalize. I have spent much of my adult life traveling the world; China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, and Canada. I find that people are people no matter where you go. You are as likely to run into a rude European or Aussie as you are a rude American. Asian cultures are a bit different on the surface, but as I said people are people. While cultures are different; I find people that would generalize in such a fashion have not spent a extended time immersed in foreign cultures. I spent weeks or months in these places (I recommend them all), and I think if you did you would see we are more similar than we are different. That includes propensity towards rudeness.
