Honestly, this seems just like an excuse, no other way to put it. Never seen anyone complain about GCD on Titan. I really don't see how it can be a negative factor in anyway. You aren't being very helpful or nice, and you don't seem very willing to explain at all.
And for the record, I don't "main" anything in Titan. I play SCH most frequently followed by WHM, then PLD, then occasionally BRD. The forums require me to select a "main class" for some reason.
I'd still like to know why the GCD is causing some people issues.
Edit: Now my main class is level 5 "Harvester". Whatever that is.
100% agreed, Hated wow with a passionWrath of Wowtards happened..... and those spread like wildfire or the plague and infected many games and these games were forced to dumb down its content and turn into some kind of fantasy CoD... they are teh bane of modern MMOs
PS wowtard!=wow player. AKA wrath-babies, inside the wow community
This isn't a Titan thread, the game doesn't revolve around titan. Working as intended latency issues just compounds the clunkiness of the game with 2.5sec GCD. How many times do healers have someone die because can't get off the next cast in time? And we're not just talking tanks (in case of titan, 1 tank). How many times do healers try to save someone with benediction only for the person to die and benediction STILL goes on CD.. Presence of Mind & Divine Seal both have some animation built in internal "cast time" along with benediction. GCD probably affects healers the most. Off GCD/Instant skills Tanks/DPS can probably relate to.. spam clicking an ability to go off makes it just as "twitchy" as spamming 1.5sec abilities. A paladin on "stun duty" greatly limits his ability to perfom fully while a warrior has stun off GCD but due to latency and technical issues sometimes inconsistent.
Btw +1 curtana/holy shield says PLD is ur main.. 1800 tomes on 1 job.. yeah.. I called you on it.
WoW turned the genre from more niche/behaved players to mainstream/nao nao nao players.
I do miss the old days.
I have no issues with the GCD in Titan HM. I do however get lag in there for some reason even though I have "excellent" connection and no lag any other time. Honestly it just took a few times to recalibrate myself to move earlier for the bomb phases but the lag does exist there for some reason. Before, I moved right when things popped up on my screen and moved with the team...only to randomly drop dead on the other side of the screen with nothing around.
edit: when i told my company leader about the lag the first thing he asked was "are you on ps3?". I've heard that apparently that is a major contributing factor for a lot of issues on Titan regardless of connection speed. Although, like most bugs in this game, it seems to affect half of the people and not the other half.

I actually played WoW (upto end of cataclysm) & GW2... Maybe I was fortunate but I didnt encounter the lvl of immaturity that I find in ARR. Ver.1 players were nicer overall aswell. Then again there was no DF, your reputation actually meant something. Perhaps DF's design is to blame, esp with no way to boot a player. You can AFK farm repeatedly while others play -1 player, or eat 15min time if you decide to leave before they do. FFXI and Ver.1 reputation meant something... It got you either invited 1st or a last resort invite. If DF allows a way to mutually agree on kicking someone I think it will put some sense of being respectful back into the game. I was doing DF with JP grp and this english player (BRD with ilvl55 bow) after 1st wipe... "you guys suck!" .."Don't suck next time." Then on 3rd wipe he proceeded to use the auto translate to tell party to disband while he /sit. Why? because he didn't want to eat the 15min timer. 1 of the jp players said he should have left 1st.. That was just such a level of disrespect. The only good side was I was the only 1 who understood english. Can you blame the "JP only" mentality? Online worlds need consequences otherwise ppl will do as they please with the general users.
Going to put this out there: lag is a real problem on Titan. I don't think it is network lag either, in fact I think it is more of a drawing lag (so low end vs high end hardware). It does exist and I have been hit by it really hard in Titan, more than once. And then in other fights I don't see it at all. If you had ever experienced it for yourself, you wouldn't put it up to an excuse by bad players. The difference between the titan lag and other dungeon lag is just extremely ridiculous. Even knowing the fight I can usually tell within 50 seconds if I am going to have lag problems, or someone else is, and it is more along the lines of having to move 2-3 seconds before you think you need to and hope you have the pattern perfect.
This isn't to discount the possibility that some people are using it as an excuse even though they don't have it, but the problem does exist and is a very real problem, and definitely falls into OP's first category. I don't think there are as many major issues as other people do, but there are always some issues with every game, including this one. In my experience the bigger issue is definitely category 2: the attitude of the people who are unforgiving of error, and unwilling to accept sometimes the problem is outside the control of the player, and further are unwilling in either case to work through the issues be it player skill, or game bug, or network lag. I am not sure about the 2.5gcd being a problem per-se, though many people don't understand how to work within it, especially those things that trigger on server time, not client time.
Anyway, I am not so great at in dungeon communication, but I try, and am willing to keep going right through to the end, unless others aren't and there isn't time to finish. Even if there isn't time to finish I will keep going for the sake of other players so they can have more chances to learn the fight if they want. It is what I personally would want, and do unto others etc.![]()

I am talking about Titan because you explicitly reference the fight when you suggest the 2.5 second GCD is a contributing factor to it's difficulty:
Come on now... I said that I play SCH or WHM more frequently than PLD in Titan, I didn't say PLD wasn't my "main class" (which seems to mean simply the job you decide to spend myth on). Your point of suggesting I wouldn't understand the GCD problem because I main PLD (and therefore never play anything else?) is moot because my "main class" is completely irrelevant, especially so considering the low difficulty level of the content you are referencing to begin with.
What you seem to be describing is difficulty dealing with the cast time of healing spells, not the global cooldown.
Why are you addressing me with such animosity anyway?
Now see this is what I don't like. WoW was in fact a great game. Yes they dumbed it downand made the wrath babies that plague us all now and that part I hated. But overall WoW had some of the best raids in any game. Heroic raiding was and still is very difficult. Anyone who has been a part of top 100 guilds can atest to that. So far this game has not come close to a real challenging fight (yes I am working on Twintania as well and it's not challenging it's just retarded with mechanics bugs).
TL;DR yes wow created the inbred wrath babies that suck and want the "omg this games too hard, please nerf" but they also created some of the most hardcore raiders in the genre. All in all, kids will be kids. They will cry when they dont get what they want. but that doesn't mean it applies to everyone
