I agree 100% I started MMO's back in 1997 with Ultima Online and Everquest in 1999 and people back then were so different, While UO was not really a raid game, EQ was and when new raid/group content came out with each expansion, you grouped up and spent hours every day, sometimes weeks at a time trying to clear one new area and when you wiped 100x, no one got mad, you just got up and kept going till you eventually won.
Now a days with this newer generation no one wants to work for anything, they want everything handed to them, or they want everything nerfed to be made easier and when you do try to do a dungeon you wipe once and they cry and bail.
It really makes me quite sad

To give you an idea of how bad it is, I did Brayflox's Longstop and when the duty formed the healer looked at the tank and asked are you new? the tank reply'd yes and the healer then said "ugh another loser, sorry but I do not heal any dungeons where the tank is not in at least AF armor" and he bails.

You aren't being very helpful or nice, and you don't seem very willing to explain at all.

And for the record, I don't "main" anything in Titan. I play SCH most frequently followed by WHM, then PLD, then occasionally BRD. The forums require me to select a "main class" for some reason.

I'd still like to know why the GCD is causing some people issues.

Edit: Now my main class is level 5 "Harvester". Whatever that is.

Honestly, this seems just like an excuse, no other way to put it. Never seen anyone complain about GCD on Titan. I really don't see how it can be a negative factor in anyway.

This isn't a Titan thread, the game doesn't revolve around titan. Working as intended latency issues just compounds the clunkiness of the game with 2.5sec GCD. How many times do healers have someone die because can't get off the next cast in time? And we're not just talking tanks (in case of titan, 1 tank). How many times do healers try to save someone with benediction only for the person to die and benediction STILL goes on CD.. Presence of Mind & Divine Seal both have some animation built in internal "cast time" along with benediction. GCD probably affects healers the most. Off GCD/Instant skills Tanks/DPS can probably relate to.. spam clicking an ability to go off makes it just as "twitchy" as spamming 1.5sec abilities. A paladin on "stun duty" greatly limits his ability to perfom fully while a warrior has stun off GCD but due to latency and technical issues sometimes inconsistent.

Btw +1 curtana/holy shield says PLD is ur main.. 1800 tomes on 1 job.. yeah.. I called you on it.

I don't know about lag and the GCD but i know the GCD is terrible in this game, its even broken enough to affect skills that are suppose to be instant and arent, then the animations on top wew, i've played many mmos but this GCD is bad, maybe the worst i've ever dealt with.. Strangely its sucks but is usable on whm but on monk holy crap its pretty bad, classes should have had different GCD..

On top of that im sitting on a 370 ish ping time so maybe it does emphasizes the GCD issues more..

Don`t care what some little prissy kid claimed he did when he was 2, I am 34 and was 20 when EQ1 Came out, I was there when Gfay was the main hub for buying and selling followed by East Common Tunnels then PoK and I was one of the first animal tamers on the Great lakes Server in UO so yeah I did play both at launch.

Now see this is what I don't like. WoW was in fact a great game. Yes they dumbed it downand made the wrath babies that plague us all now and that part I hated. But overall WoW had some of the best raids in any game. Heroic raiding was and still is very difficult. Anyone who has been a part of top 100 guilds can atest to that. So far this game has not come close to a real challenging fight (yes I am working on Twintania as well and it's not challenging it's just retarded with mechanics bugs).

TL;DR yes wow created the inbred wrath babies that suck and want the "omg this games too hard, please nerf" but they also created some of the most hardcore raiders in the genre. All in all, kids will be kids. They will cry when they dont get what they want. but that doesn't mean it applies to everyone
