Yeah I am hoping the transfer service becomes available soon too. Mog Station keeps saying to wait until Oct 15th and when the Lodestone will mention that transfers are active.

OP is right. "...players will be allowed to use the World Transfer Service free of charge from Tuesday, October 15, 2013, to Monday, October 21, 2013, 01:00 a.m." Even allowing for the gloriously underestimated (as usual) maintenance time of the world servers and the Lodestone, there STILL is not transfer service available. Considering the same article I quoted states we could be locked out of our accounts for several days while we wait, some of us have decided to err on the side of caution (always a wise policy if experience with SE is anything to go by) and stay up, waiting for the service to start because it is first come, first served and we don't want to spend "several days" locked out of a service we are paying for.
Seriously, SE, this complete and utter lack of communication and failure to deliver on commitments is getting old quickly.

They said September, then it was mid September, then beginning of October now mid October... This is getting really old really fast.
Why don't they say "service is not available (no date) or 2014" which it more likely... That way I wouldnt have wasted money paying for 2 months worth of lag and frustration... Playing a real time game with 5+ second delay is a joke.

I'm curious as to where it is too, but no need to get your panties in a twist. It'll show up when it shows up. And no, I wouldn't tell that to my boss - but we aren't their boss. Customers *never* have translated to bosses. They don't work for us, they work to attract our money, but they are free to go about doing that (or not doing that, as some of you would argue) however they damned well please. Terrible analogies are terrible.
I'm sure the Community Team sees this thread and will respond to it to give us official word that the service is up.
Patience isn't a bad thing to exercise.
