Lets take example of games like DCUO. These games put the focus at endgame. The issue is players bum rush content try to get everything super fast. This lead to alot of silly rules being formed. Like leve linking or purposely failing levequests. No one forms parties with random people to do grind parties, and yes there are several locations to have grind parties. You guys want "slower" not easy leveling? do more mob grinding less levequests. This will also take out a good chunk of money from the economy. And maybe cause prices to do down on gear a bit. Also spread out some. Do grind parties or levequests in other camps.
And stop thinking you need the best sp/exp per hr. All that mindset is doing is making you whine how fast leveling is.
I don't think the sp grinding is that bad, the main problem is how you make leve link groups and I do miss experience camps and chaining. Shouting in ul'dah shows that something is wrong, noone uses the party recruitment/search, my leveling has been somewhat lucky and mostly linkshell based.
The system in xi was perfect, I thoroughly enjoyed being able to search for everyone flagged in my level range and sending tells before an invite to anyone inc jp/hk etc, it was a much better system because the person who decides to make a party is the one who should be talking to people seeking directly explaining exactly what they have planned, you are unable to do this until people join or are directly in front of you, the is no back and forth comms before people join which is just wrong and leaves me sitting there fustrated waiting for people to join, it just isn't working IMO.
This is also my biggest frustration with xiv atm.

I feel that going to lvl 40 is harder. It ask a lot of sp and also a lot of time...... I got a life remember!
I wonder how feasible it would be to just even out leveling rate across the board so it takes as much time to get from 1-20 and from 30-50... I'm not a fan of leveling really fast at first and then have everything slooooooooowwww down. Keep it nice and even, but I'm sure most MMOs are designed this way for a reason.. O.o
edit: Oh yes the LFG function is rather awful too.

It's not the fact that we are whining... why would people whine about how easy and 'givin on a silver platter' something is? What is sort of screwing this game and probably every other MMO out there is catering to the casuals, and nothing anyone can say will change my mind. A MMO is supposed to keep you occupied for years, this game has kept me entertained 2 hours a week. Just personal opinionLets take example of games like DCUO. These games put the focus at endgame. I wouldn't mind slower leveling, if only the process of leveling up was made to be more entertaining.
Currently, the only way to really level up efficiently is through Guild Leves, which are all incredibly boring. Seriously, Guild Leves are the single worst quest system I have ever seen in any RPG ever, online or off. All the other quests in the game are fine, but Guild Leves just flat out suck. So maybe if there was a fun way to level up efficiently that didn't involve Guild Leves, I wouldn't mind if the rate of progress was slowed a bit.

That and the fact that there is nothing to do. Level 1 ------new abilities/a few cutscenes/NMs----- level 50I wouldn't mind slower leveling, if only the process of leveling up was made to be more entertaining.

You never unlock anything.
1-10 is alittle quick but I don't mind that, 11-20 is perfect speed, I played it before at the beginning and that junk was way too slow. Who really cares if those beginning ranks are fast when there isn't much to them? This is a casual MMO whether we like it or not so making it fast for 1-10 then slower for 11-20 then slows down to a crawl past that is fair. It allows people who don't get to play much to catch up fairly quick solo play to a decent level where groups start becoming optimal @ r20. Any who say different or complain is just looking for the next thing to moan and groan about.
