For reference, you can still skip mobs in AK.
However, I prefer chainpulling. I don't really care for sac-pulls.

Yes. Which is for the purpose of rewatching. While many don't give a flying... about custcenes and story (the whole skipalltextyouarewastingmypreciousgrindtime-crowd), there are others who want to enjoy the story. Making them skip on the first time creates a disjointed experience, so SE really should just not allow to skip the cutscenes the first time you view them.

But at this point in the ARR lifecycle, almost all players have completed the story long ago. These same players are now condemned to endless hours/weeks/months of grinding for end-game gear. Why would we want to do anything but speedrun on dungeons that are meant to be run only for the tomes.Yes. Which is for the purpose of rewatching. Nice, they made a tedious grindfest, even more of an unbearable grindfest.
AK, WP, CM are all 100 WP now. A good group can clear WP as fast or faster than CM. WP's Trash is quite tankable in chunks, e.g. in AF2/DL you can grab 2 or 3 packs at once, Overpower spam them and aoe them down. And the giant tonberries... You just run from, easy dungeon. With Relic+1 dps 1st, 2nd, last boss are a joke.
CM's still plenty fast. You don't have to fight many more trash mobs, plus you now make enough gil from them to more than cover your repair bill.
I really don't care. The fact that now you can get 100 phil in AK made CM irrelevant.
CM is now for newcomers who want to sit around and watch 30 min cutscenes.
Has anyone tested to see if the mobs that are produced while the searchlights are on drop gil? If so we'll have a place where we can farm gil for purchasing end-game crafted items... CM Gil Parties like DD EXP Parties...
I am one of those condemned to the endless grind, yet I want the new players to have a good experience I had as well, simple as that. Besides, with the recent patch AK became even more optimal tome wise - I just made a few runs with roughly 30 minutes (that was not even a full relic party), that's about the same as CM, and you get mythology tomes as well. So we can leave CM as well as Praetorium to the new players now, I'd say.But at this point in the ARR lifecycle, almost all players have completed the story long ago.
