nope, it was to not assume, that someone with relic, is better than someone with GC wep.

It's funny today i was told i sucked because i refuse to get Darklight, even though in ak gear alone i was main healing Coil, The fact of the mater people think gear = skill, and with more idiots buying titan runs and relics than ever before...gear means absolutely nothing but people think otherwise....i don't see ARR lasting much longer due to these elitest's

Ya, in most cases DL is just a small upgrade from AK.
But no, all games have this attitude, ARR wont last any shorter amount of time, than any other game, for it.

This just in. You can be properly geared and still be competent at your job!

*Properly* is a loose definition. Is "Properly" geared for CM, Relic and DL?
Most of the damage/heals, come from Wep atk, not armors. By default, you probably have relic for coil, unless you go as an alt; the rest don't matter as much.
500 more hp wont matter when caduceus crit you 12k...and 10more damage wont matter, when it has...duno, a mil hp?

Not really.
A BRD is always going to outperform a MNK, since BRD can attack from anywhere, and is not placement dependent, which is why my GC BRD outperformed a relic +1 MNK.
In case you doubt his performance, 2 other DPS in the party died, at Titan 30% HP, so me and the MNK and some other DPS, took down the last 30% without issues.
I don't know where you get the idea from, that i think i was performing over 100% you're just putting words in my mouth.
Ofc i know that if i had DL and Relic, i'd done much better, and if there was another relic BRD in party, he'd have done much better than me.
I'm just pointing out relic/DL shouldn't be a minimum requirement for anything before Coil...since you cant even get relic until AFTER Titan.
DL is a small min/max upgrade from AK; it's a bonus, not a requirement. Anyone who thinks it's a requirement for pre-Coil, is wrong.
On a sidenote, i was healing at Caduceus, with SCH, with ifrit book, and main tank, that had relic WHM at him, died before my less geared tank died...
And in case you want to argue ideal performance again, if everyone was performing ideally, we'd have won easily ofc, regardless of healer/DPS gear, since apparently Ifrit book, was enough to keep tank alive.
