Besides, just because you joined a group that didn't go well doesn't mean all will be that bad. More often than not, if you join party with loads of newly 50s, it's probably going to take 10-15 mins longer.

I know I have been in relic parties that were great.
All I'm pointing out, is that it doesn't guarantee excellence, as some seem to think.
And actually i think it's more rare with a party full of new 50s; never been in any of those, that i can remember. And i wouldn't mind ending up in such a party anyways.

OP this happened to me too! Guess what everyone in the group had relics except me it was 5 relic black mages, a tank and a healer. Guess what? They couldn't get past the second boss in CM LMAO! One dude said he was nervous I was in AF at the start. Yet they wiped three times! at second boss! They tried to over complicate things and all the black mages were pew pewing flare like crazy and not sleeping anything or letting tank get aggro. They all just kept dying and eventually everyone quit.

I could have already finished that CM run with a regular group...

However, if you have two groups of equally skilled players and one has even slightly better gear, guess which group does better?

You can't easily tell when picking up randoms who is skilled and unskilled, that's what friend lists, FCs and blocks lists are for. What you can easily, quickly, and reliably determine is what gear people have. I would rather control part of the equation then trust someone who whispers me, trust me I'm good (hint : everyone thinks they are good and that's ok!)

No you can't, but for Titan, you can ask for experience, rather than relics. If someone knows the fight, and can dodge well, it doesn't matter that they don't have relic or DL.
If there's not many ppl on, you might as well take what you find, and see how it goes.

Parser. it shows how much damage all party members do. It's a bit unreliable when it comes to dots, and such, but it's good estimate.

There have been like 3 main topics just complained to death, at this point if the game community looked as bad as the forums(and it is sooo close) most people would just say the game can go to hell and everyone playing.

Telling people how they are and aren't allowed to setup for any dungeon is silly. I'll never join a run that demands such things as relics only, but I'm sure as hell not going to tell someone else how to play. It is a legitimate setup for people wanting to run things like Castrum and Praetorium with max efficiency. These are min/maxers and they are in every game.

Hell, I'll even go so far as the thank them for doing so, since it means they are forming their own groups instead of queuing in the duty finder and complaining or ruining someone else's Castrum storyline adventure.
