Square, why the paranoia about the game's music?

Youtube's been cracking down a lot on it too.
Like, lots of people used to record gameplay and do like a podcast thing
with gameplay as video.

A lot of people were making money from doing this.
But they are really cracking down on that kind of stuff.

Like... if you show GTA5 cutscenes.... Rockstar is gonna get very upset.

What most of these companies fail to understand is that if they can pirate it, they won't buy it. If they cannot pirate it, they won't buy it anyway.
If someone wants to support a company/artist/whatever they will buy your product whether he can/does pirate it.

Becasue God forbid the CREATOR of a work hasn't the right to decide if and when they make it available.

I'm not sure why your post is in response to mine I have no issue with what they do, simply stating the facts.

But there's no official soundtrack yet. And most copyright claims come from the record companies, not the musicians themselves.

Your right it IS the record companies that handle the claims but I doubt the musicians didn't play a part in it. Everyone wants to go platinum
