Launcher Bug: version check error or password(s) error resets ID and checkbox

Attempting to login just now, i got the usual error when login servers are down, but unlike previous versions of the launcher, (as i noticed it had been updated) my ID was blanked and the remember id checkbox unchecked upon the launcher reloading.

I then reproduced this by entering an invalid password and OTP.

This isn't about the version check error, this is about previously saved information being lost from the launcher when such an error message is raised.

Mine always reset whenever my PC is shut-downed abnormally (sometimes due to sudden outage/blackout or something else).

I'd like to correct my original bug report

the Remember Square Enix ID checkbox IS NOT WORKING AT ALL.

It's working but sometimes not. It's conditional, I believe. Just like mine.
