Races you would like to see added in the future

There's no variety in the existing races - we have what are essentially small, medium, and large humans, and a human with ears and a tail. It's only really height and weight that separate them. So, I'd be against the whole Viera thing too; they're just sticking ears on different body shapes.

I'd rather they added a true beast race, like the Amal'jaa, rather than a Roegadyn with elephant ears.

Edit: the big problem with the mixed races is how it happened. How exactly did a Mi'qote mate with a Lalafell - or a Roe with a Lalafel...?

I would like to see a race called Espers. Definately a throw back to FFVI. I imagine these people based on Terra's Esper form. The white fur kind of look, more beast looking, probably large eyes. Claws.

Just a quick idea. I should draw up some sketches. Love coming up with this kind of stuff. Other than that, I would love to be a Moogle. Or be able to be the Panther dudes from Uldah.

Developing oversized beastmen is a waste, sure there will be a handful of people playing them but face it they'll never be popular like the pretty and cute races. History has shown us this in many MMOs. I've hardly seen any roe on my server, and I think I saw a female roe once. However, you can't swing a dead miqote in Uldah without mowing down a legion of cats and lalas.

SE would make a lot of money if they put fantasia in the store and gave us something like viera, and they probably realize this.

Sorry to bust some peoples bubbles but the Viera and reptile races won the "What race would you like to be added?" polls, so I'll be making a male viera when they are added.

Another problem with polls and votes. The Viera type won with 23%. That means 77% didn't want that. Not even close to being a majority. So that poll means nothing really when you really look at the numbers and think about what the community really would like. I personally would hate to see human people with bunny ears. I think it would be terrible and a disappointment.

Vanity stuff comes out, make a bunny ear head piece and bam you're done. No need for a new race.

I imagine when/if we get the cosmetic slots, a large number of humanoid/animal-mixed races will become unnecessary, simply because we might be able to dress up as them instead.

The only 'non-human' qualities I see here, are the slender build, claws and bunny ears.
The face is completley "human".
