We finally get transfers!

I would just like to take the time to thank SquareEnix for making things right.

In early access I was forced onto Siren, instead of being able to make a character on Excalibur to play with all my rl friends (and they constantly bug me when we go to lunch or the bar with how far they've gotten in Coil and how I should have rolled on their server...ha ha ha ha -.-)

By the time character creation was open on Excalibur, I already had my relic, so I decided to wait until transfers to go and play with them.

Well in a few hours that is about to pay off, Siren is a terrible server (they don't even do Prae runs) with a slow economy and low population XD, I know server transfers may take a day or two, but I can't wait to log into Excalibur and start playing with my buddies.

So I'm here all night refreshing Mog Station lol

Actually Excalibur is still one of the pop locked, have fun trying to xfer there since according to them it will still be locked =p I am in the same boat....friends play on Excalibur and I cant play there so I am stuck not progressing because I dont know anyone on the server I am on.

OP you may not get to do transfer. Don't get your hopes up. Se has failed us before and it would be foolish if you think they won't again. They said if something happens with the maintenance there will be no server transfers

They're giving us these transfers to make up for the fact that they locked us out of the servers we wanted, they wouldn't lock us out AGAIN lol, this is their atonement for that VERY mistake.

I hope that's not true lol, I already gave 17mil to a friend (so I'd have 1mil on each retainer and 3mil on my person) and left all my linkshells and the FC i was in

I'm just bit scared that SE said if there are too many ppl doing transfer, it could take few days to finish the transfer and we can't log in the game during that time...I really want to play it everyday...even I can only run AK and CM...

Look I hate to play Devils Advocate here, but I smell a Shit Storm a brewin.

SE hasn't raised server caps, which means you wont be able to transfer to a full server, and the chance of getting on a heavily populated and popular server is slim. Especially since it's service rendered by order.

There is going to be a ton of people unable to go where they want to, making the transfer nonsensical since they cant transfer to where their friends are.

Yeah the incident known as SE's Trail of Tears, AKA the 90k fiasco, might just happen again with these transfers.

P.S. Sorry but someone had to play the bad guy, but I sincerely hope all of you get to where you're wanting to go. Safe Travels fellow Eorzean's.
