Suggestion: Party List Order

Okay, so every time you go into a dgn/raid the order of players is always different. The tanks could be separated by 3 people or right under each other. My suggestion is to have the party list the same every time, no matter what dgn/raid, or level you are. So the party list I think so go (Standard configuration):

Tank
Tank
Healer
Healer
Dps
Dps
Dps
Dps
Pets (Summoner or Scholar pets) should be on here as well as they are vital to dps and
heals


Especially for those on the PS3, it would make scrolling through everyone to reach the tanks (who take the most damage) much easier.

Totally agree with you, as a healer, and I'm not on PS3.

Healing is often messy, even with the mouse over. When all the party starts taking damages, I tend to heal once the second healer, then focus asap on the tank, and have to find time first in the list. Ok, there's colored icons, but still, when we are in a rush, always having the tanks and heals at the same place would help us a lot, so for a Controller user, it's probably a must have.

This is partially available. You can open the "social" window with your party list, blacklist, player search, etc. and re-order your party list. It still won't sort by role automatically nor does it show pets, but it's a start. Since you are locked in the top position, as a healer I usually sort healers > tanks > melee DPS > ranged DPS.

Like Callas mentioned, you can sort your list as desired. With the one exception that you cannot move yourself within the list. Which is the one thing I'd like to see changed, if I'm always <0> anyway I don't "need" to be in the top slot of the party list. I'd much rather that be my tanks.

If the list auto-sorted as you described in the OP I'd be a happy camper.

bump =) First thing I do in every dungeon is go tank,tank,healer,bard/rest (bard because I like mana song as a greedy white mage)
