what's up with this increasing lag/disconnect?

Am I the only person experience this?

I was playing last night around 9pm EST... the lag spike / disconnect was ridiculous so I logged out figuring I will just play in the morning.

Logged in this morning, still having massive lag spike / disconnect..

don't even know how to play this game anymore without feeling frustrated over such basic issue.

in NJ with comcast 25/5 internet.

Nope, lag spikes have been pretty bad for me, for a week now.

Not only that, I keep seeing people with the red disconnect symbol by their name, everywhere. In instances, I've lost party members, constantly (that come back, because of DC, not because they quit the party). I see people running, slowing down, then all of a sudden speeding up. For the first time in a Garuda Hard Mode battle, I couldn't see or target Garuda until she got in the middle circle (could see the sisters fine, as well as the plumes).

For Titan Hard, I've seen the clockwise bombs dropping all at once (not one by one, as usual)... it's just been really bad this week. A lag I haven't seen before. At first I thought it was exclusively on my side, but after so many party members disconnecting/reconnecting and the red symbols by so many names, I'm not so sure.

I had the SAME issue last night at AK.

And i had never experienced such bad lag as yesterday.

That beens there since RELEASE!, they havn't fixed it & its just been getting worse that finally other players are noticing it.

This may have always been a problem for some people but I have not experienced even a tiny bit of lag until last night. Every boss fight in stone vigil i was getting about a 10 second lag followed by slingshot madness, then all was fine until the next boss. Checked speedtest.net on the laptop next to me while it was happening and everything was great with 8ms ping. Something has changed

why in the world would they do that without additional servers and server transfer... this turned into a 24/7 lag with 90k disconnect none stop.

First post since I was banned for 10 days for simply sharing my opinion. WTG SE fail mods. Anyway.

I've had horrible lag in instances and in the world ever since they increased the concurrent number of players per server. Remember when they did that?

I was doing Sunken Temple with my family over the weekend and we were unable to complete the dungeon due to lag. My bf and I are stuck on Titan HM right now due to lag. I've upgraded my internet service at my house, that did nothing. I went over to my bfs apartment to play - that has better infrastructure than where my house is, and that still did nothing. I do not see us beating Titan with this lag when it's usually half of the party lagging out constantly. I don't know if I can continue enjoying a game that is in such a sad state... I want to enjoy the game but it's getting more difficult with each passing day when this lag seems to be getting worse.

Because some players dont have this problem they'll tell you it doesnt exist. Keep on posting about it. Im sick of this lag and sick of being told it doesnt exist. One of my ls disconnects hourly without fail, its a problem unique to him and he's resigned himself that this will be his FFXIV experience.
