But the fact is, MANY of MMORPG players are casuals, more so than 90% of the population, ignore the majority and catering for the 10% will financially hurt the game, but losing the 10% doesn't change much. I fully support SE if they choose to keep the game casual, in fact it is the only logical choice from a producers stand point. I think the content is right where it stands at the moment, its not super casual like LFR in WoW, but at the same time not complex like HMs in WoW either.

Exactly. Ghostcrawler tried to do this (making things more difficult) in Cataclysm and that was the beginning of the end for WoW. Some difficulty is fine, in fact the latter WOTLK dungeons required a bit of coordination. It shouldn't be overblown to the point to where the community isn't capable of doing it though (which is what Titan is atm)

LFR SEEMS casual but if you were to take relatively new players from here and put them in a LFR, they would have problems with LFR

Actually the end of WoW was that they bended to people complaining of difficulty, the dungeons in cata when they came out where fun as hell problem was casual players didn't want to gear up before jumping into it, so u had a bunch of people that standed on fire completely undergeared complaining that they couldn't progress in game. They complained about heroic Ghostcrawler tried to defend it by saying heroic wasn't for everybody(maybe a poor choice of words) and u had alot of noob rage(being a noob is not a bad thing, noobs raging over anything they can't do is probably the worst thing in any game ), that caused the game nerf and that was the end of WoW.

It's not that casual players didn't want to gear up to it. Many people had the gear to do it due to the previous dungeons however many lacked the skill set to actually do it. The problem with Cata Heroics was that it used the old style of dungeons (heavy CC, good positioning, focus target, etc) and players were not properly introduced to it. Cataclysm catered to veterans who were there before WOTLK but the people that were playing it started on WOTLK.

Nowadays, yes they are catering to a bigger part of the audience, however they have recently introduced a new concept called Flex Raiding where it scales based on how many people you have and the difficulty is higher than LFR so that in itself appeals to those people who wanted a greater challenge but just does not have a premier or standard raid group.
