There are many working out there with even less playable hours (eg. me) but we still prefer content that are not dumb'ed down. IF u want to feel like a "god" or however you call it..... then earn it. Yes, maybe those hardcore players with your so called "godly status" but u can't deny the fact that they earnt it. They sacrificed their free time or even work time to do it.... can you? If you can't then suck it up like me and just do your best to achieve the best you can. Don't just whine and hope people make things easier for you just because u can't do it. So if u can't find a job simple enough for you to apply IRL, are u expecting companies and organizations to dumb down the job for you? Let's simply put it, you're just jealous.

As for your issue on getting static grp.......Learn to socialise a little more? Practice a little more on your socialising skills? Maybe you'll find it easier getting a static coil grp?

so...asking for a single level of progression is immediately a red flag and we should start taking pitchforks and torches to the hardcore raiders? nice marketing plan.

they may count for the minority of the population, but they also are the ones that are clearing the way for more casual players so the content isn't absolutely broken by the time the bulk of the population gets to it. (seeing as how they are responsible for bringing to attention every bug that has been fixed so far in coil...)

i understand why some hard-core raiders are mad, i think there are better things to be yelling at SE about than vertical progression *cough*customersupport*cough* but its not something to go to def-con 3 over. they want something new to do, that's more challenging than what is available. we beat hard difficulty, now lets set the difficulty to "11." i believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion (regardless right or wrong), and i am fine with saying what they want, yes some of it annoys me, but in the long run, it really doesn't affect me.

the "one percenters" as you called them (i shudder at that name) that are impatient and expect things to be perfect at the beginning are what get to me (this isn't everyone, of course. i will not be mentioning names, but i have seen posts that basically is this). this is because i remember a statement about this that new turns of coil/sections of CT were coming out every other patch (so i'm assuming new turns in 2.2, new sections of ct in 2.3...etc.) so i don't see what the problem is...other than the people screaming "I payed for this game so therefor I'm entitled to have it now."

    just my 2 cents.

Please Before youre gonna judge someone atleast back it up with proof, get off your high ego horse. "if you cant suck it up like me" apart from that sounding funny youre also comparing yourself to me? you dont know me, you dont know how hard ive worked, you dont know if ive earned it. seems to me you are the only one "dumbing down" things here. thanks for the laughs tho

    Well...

I was hoping for a 3 way faction PvP cap point control or a keep in the middle(starting off with NPCS) and one of the 3 factions has to eliminate them to gain control of it and then they get to defend vs the other 2 factions.(aka Grand Companies)

I'm not fully interested in the dodge aoes, do a dance here and there and burn bosses like WoW/Rift but I look for an enjoyable PvP endgame. I knew from the beginning form co workers this was in the works, so I picked it up a couple weeks ago PRAYING that they didn't cop out and do Arenas. After reading the 2.1 patch notes and being disappointed I will check back once every 3 months and hope for something other than what's on the table now. In the meantime I will PVE til my 30days runs its course and go back to Rift until something new can be released that might fit what I'm looking for end game.

    Good Luck

I'm glad some of you got the point I was making in my last post. Exaggeration tends to convey a point very well when all other means of communication fail. I take your points that not all of the more energetic players in the game are like the ones I speak of, but I do stand by my position of being leery of those who clamor for harder content so adamantly. More challenging content is fine and if SE provides it curiosity would compel me to at least take a look. What concerns me is that more challenging content is merely cover for what some people really desire: exclusive content beatable only by them (Think Absolute Virtue/Pandemonium Warden).

The title of the thread is just silly. If anyone took the time to look at the progression threads on every server, people would realize, most FC's still can't even down twintania yet, even after the nerf. We have to keep in mind, the progression threads consist of people who are usually dedicated to raiding. We aren't even including casuals. If a the majority of the dedicated raiders aren't even done with current content, logically, where do you think the casuals stand?

Some servers haven't even downed Twintania yet and 2.1 is going to be here in less then 30 days. People want new content but people haven't gotten thru the current content. Yet I'm seeing a thread that says endgame content too easy with people supporting this. Evidence supports the fact that endgame content is pretty tough for the majority of the community. Seeing people throw out their opinions battling evidenced kills/progression is pretty silly.

I personally agree with much of what you said, and I myself consider my gaming habits somewhere between casual and hardcore depending on my responsibilities. But in general, no one is ruining the experience for you. Balancing a game to be approachable, yet difficult and rewards that are tangible yet very rewarding is extremely difficult when most games are not made to satisfy those needs to us individuals, but to make money. It's ugly, but it's the truth. Companies like Blizzard do a fairly good job listening to their fans and although they had a blunder with D3 at launch, they will make up for it by making it better. Square did something similar with this game but will always appeal to the masses, over hardcore gaming out of necessity. If I could make this game better though it would be through character customization, materia and end game dungeons. That would be the most direct way to appeal to as many people as possible, whilst leaving most of the game intact as is for casual peeps.

Hasn't Twintania been downed several times already by the big FCs after the fix?

Isn't that how it typically goes for a young MMO? The bigger badass FCs who put more hours into the game beat it first (and somewhat quickly)? I'm somewhere between hardcore and causal (maybe?), but I have no problem with there being content that I'd need to put more time into in order to complete.

Yoshi-P says he hopes the game has years of subs, and if they could push content out at a reasonable rate, does it really matter that the majority of players haven't reached it yet? Hell, as a casual I'd be thinking "heck yea! more for me to do when I get to 50 and/or complete raid-X" or even "my fc isn't doing to well on this dungeon, maybe we could do a couple of runs on this one just to give us something to do".

Again, its an MMO, which is appealing because at any one level you typically have options. If those options range according to difficulty, so what? I'm sure players with similar RL time constraints could also work on an FC, setting up runs if they need to, even if they don't have the same amount of time to dedicate to the game.
