Healing is kind've like being a sound engineer in a movie
If you're doing your job right, nobody notices. If you screw up, everyone does.
Was about to write the same thing but I made up my mind since my experience differ. If all is going regular noone will mention sth but if the warpcore was about to explode (2 Groups of adds pulled and a pat wandering in) ppl allways warship the healer if noone dies, allthough the tank kitetanking the Mobs holding all aggro did the more difficult Job by far.
If I do, I end up ruining it by yelling at the other people in the group for making me put extra effort.. Haha but I enjoy any praises though.
My FC lets me know I'm loved, but the closest I've gotten was in some HM Titan attempts, the one guy saying "Hey we'd appreciate some esunas, but we're aware you've been solo healing this entire thing" As the other WHM kept getting knocked off the edge. Actually made it through heart phase and a little beyond, before people standing in shit got overwhelming. Seeing as I don't even have garuda/ifrit weapon and still wearing AF chest I felt good about that
In other games I've tried to make it a point to let dps know they've done well when they\re exceptional, but here, it's always heals fault, sometimes a derp tank, and the dps patting themselves on the back for "carrying the group"
Oh I did get a "Great heals archer" once... yes I heal while on my lowbies >.>

I get complimented often but never really think about it. I just enjoy the fluidity of proper healing. I can toot my horn a little, when I'm in the zone, I'm like a machine; fingers flying all over the keyboard and mouse. It's like yoga for me. x)

Solo healed Garuda HM after 1/2, because I had already blown too much mp on raising the other healer. (The other healer was raised and died 3 times.. by me and other raid members- it was a lost cause) We didn't have a bard.
We succeeded. Yay.
I find that when handing out compliments, it's usually the healer/tanks exchanging. I think there is an understanding between the roles of what it means to pick up the slack when your healer/tank partner goes down.
