FFXIV VGA performance help

Hello all ^^, I currently have a ati5770, it gives me 30-50 FPS on mid settings (1680x1050)... Now I want to buy a VGA to play on high settings in 1920x1080.
I was thinking on buy the ATI6950 or gtx560TI.
I ask you for ideas and info about performance of both of this VGAs in FF

I had a HD 5770 then bought a new PC and this one has a HD 6950 and it plays great in 1080p. Also you can do a BIOS flash or something on the HD 6950 which increases the performance to that of a HD 6970 which is what I had done and it did make a fair bit of difference.

you can play on max settings at 60fps in uldah or gridania?

what do u consider max settings? with AO and DoF turned off, you can play really smoothly with either card. maybe the 560ti will be a lil bit better since the game advertises optimization for nvidia cards

i do not care about AO, but DoF and 4x AF would be fine

i just installed 2 6850s and they work wonders went from 10-30 to 45-60fps everything maxed but A0 i did reasearch and saw too many complaints about cooling for 6950s think i spent 340$s for 2 XFX ATI HD6850s so nice now when i use an ability and i see the animation right off the bat lol. It seems that Nvidia cards have less complaints about cooling issues but ive always been ATI person and never had a problem w/ any cards ive had int he past.

How does 1 6850 does? I don't feel like buying a new mobo just to crossfire but i do want to play on High setting i don't really care much about AO i just want to play little higher setting then what i am now

should be pretty damn good w/ just 1 installed i actually only got 2 because i got a very good rebate deal on 2 lol i payed 340 and got 2 50$ rebates. I was using a HD5450 before and getting 10-30 (40$) video card now using the HD6850's and getting 45-60 (200ish $ card) 340$ for 2 and 2 50$ rebates 240$ great investment. Now i need to upgrade my processor and ill prob have even better results.

thanks i look into getting a new video card but by the time i do maybe the higher version are around that same cost and buy that version

in 6months the 6850 will most likely be 120$s or less lol you might find it even more of a hassle to go up to even higher tier video card too if your powersupply isnt sufficient . think u need a 550watt for 6850 and a 700 for 6950? and on top of tht it needs to have a single 6pin connector thats part of the powersupply so it needs to be a certified powersupply which usually run 100+ for cheap ones and 150+ for name brand ones.
