1: When you get close to cap, just delete the oldest ones. Those accounts are likely banned anyways.

2: They don't delete characters when they ban accounts. Just because a name doesn't show as (deleted) doesn't mean that it's still active.

Here's what's happened when it says, "(deleted)":

The account is stolen, and the RMT create a character on that account to spam or do other things necessary to operate their business anonymously. Before they logoff that account, they delete the characters they made in order to cover any tracks. They don't want the real owner to know someone else has been using the account, and if the real owner sees characters they didn't create, this is the first warning sign. So long as the real owner does not know, they likely won't change their password, and that account will still be used by RMT until subscription runs out or it gets banned.

Its all about the Profits with SE. Blanket bans every now and then so the bots will have to rebuy the game. They dont really care as long as they profit. FF 11 was the same way, SE is almost as bad as EA when it comes to that stuff. $$ over QQ

The problem is most of those accounts are stolen or were bought using stolen CC info.. SO in the end SE makes little to no money off them.

My blacklist is getting dangerously full. It's no longer a problem though as my trial time is up and I'm not really interested in paying to log in till they fix more stuff.

The accounts don't belong to them. They are stolen. Taking any form of punitive action against those accounts does nothing to harm RMT.

You can't say that about every account. It's pretty obvious when their name is Bbsjkd Okdja, it's a gil seller.

My account was hacked and he spammed on my 50 for 14+ hours, I was on HEAPS of black lists. It was my fault for having a weak password and no authenticator... regardless.

my only option was to reroll completely...and this is coming from a 50 bard with full DL and relic... they need counter measures for crap like this because it's not fair on the person that was hacked to be on heaps of black lists.

Account Compromised? once you recover the account it should wipe you from every black list.

FFxi had similar issues, it wont be long until these outlaws will respect the ToS and laws of Eorzea. For now the free trial period is coming to a close, lets see how much they plan to stick around.
