RAGE QUITTERS IN DUTY FINDER AND PEOPLE WHO LOG OFF DURING DUTY

Sorry for caps but this is just ridiculous. Why is that when you do a duty in the higher dungeons or hard mode people leave after the first fail attempt?

This is making me pretty annoyed. I wait about 40mins to play a dungeon and get 5mins in to have someone just rage quit and the whole party leaves.

Id purpose give people who log off and never come back or rage quitters a timeout or some type of penalty .

Yes this happens very very often. If you want to see how long of a wait it is and see people rage I'll gladly make a un edit video.

good luck with that. However, quitters already have a penality, if they quit they have 15 minutes wait to queue again

8 man dungeons shouldn't be eligible for duty finder. They probably leave because you don't have a PLD or a BLM/SMN, both which are almost essential to killing ifrit.

Actually, I don't think any level50 dungeon should be. They're all extremely challenging and require competent players, teamwork, and gear. No ILVL requirement on queueing for garuda/titan, can get someone in full af + level 20 accessories who is basically useless. There's really no reason for duty finder to be usable for them, when you need certain classes for 8 mans and certain ilvl of gear to attempt the harder content.

Leveling up dungeons should be the only dungeons you can duty finder, because they're not as challenging, are required for story, and it's harder to find people for lower level content the longer the game matures.

This makes me happy. I remember all the complaints about FFXIV being too easy. The more people that ragequit the better.

SE needs to remove the token drops from Castrum Meridian and the Praetorium too. You get horrible players joining them for tokens and begging people on the story quest to skip the cutscenes. Then when they don't get their way they throw a tantrum and leave. You've got to wonder how many groups these people go through doing this to. When people can't play nice SE needs to intervene before they lose subs. SE should never have mixed story and end-game.

I like that it gives you tokens, it's a reward for helping friends/LS/FCmates and encourages people to do the dungeon more. The problem is the community, not the fact that it gives you rewards. The way people rush/play/force skipping COMPLETELY ruins those story dungeons for new players. I'm glad when I did it I got to experience it properly. I feel sorry for players being rushed through it trying to experience the story.

The only alternative is to force everyone to watch the cutscenes. But then people will cry about that too. This is a case of being unable to please everyone, and on a story dungeon the story experience should be the #1 thing in mind for the dev team.

15 min wait times are like a slap on the wrist for punishment, and I'm hard pressed to call it a slap.

I was one of those people that was forced to skip . Party told me don't get left behind this is a speed run . Go watch this at a inn.
