Extreme increase in new players

I was passing blackbrush other day helping a friend and it had like 3 people there, Drybone about 5, Today this morning i logged in at Drybone and it was empty.

I dont see it increasing much, i see a lot of people not going to limsa/grid more just stick it out in Uldah.

But I am assuming everyones just going xp/levelling crazy expecting SE to mess it up come june or they want a 50 for the dungeons. And then they'll be sad when they complete them in 1 day.

You can tell who is new and who is returning by searching them on lodestone. Old people have 7 digit id's all new accounts now have 8 digits.

i know right and i join besaid and it was like no one i rejoin selbina and there lot's of players in the other two city.

The starting camps have picked up in activity on Wutai as well. Nanawa has never been more packed, and is starting to look like it is being used as envisioned as a lowbie hub dungeon.

It's probably just a concentration thing as people learn where the best places to level and be are, the best places start getting packed as stray lowbies stop grinding on dodos and random parts of the world, and get with the program.

Then again, maybe the population is coming back a bit.

haha im pretty sure that in june it wont be as easy to solo, and our charachters are going to be overall weaker, thus making it more likely that you will get less exp. But i have no proof, just seems like what will happen with the vague info we got on changes.

add in the fact people are already getting tired of rift
and LOL DCU and PSN being down

they are going to games like this that wont cost them as much for the moment, especialy with whats been going on they wanna see what will happen and whats going on
