"Final fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Has Stopped working" Disconnect Error

Receiving the error "Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn has stopped working" randomly while playing which automatically stops the game and shuts it down.
This can happen an hour or 5 minutes after logging into the game, either for the first time or a previous disconnect. This happen pretty frequently and will need to be looked at.
can anyone advise how to pull the game logs to be able to post them here?

    Not my internet connection:
    Have used my home internet
    Have used my cell hotspot
-Have a running ping going out, with no dropped packets during play time.

    Windows Firewall access allowed:
FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm reborn BOOT
FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm reborn Launcher

Playing with borderless windowed mode, will be trying full screen until patch tonight or future patch might fix that possible issue.

You'll likely have more luck resolving this on one of the support sites that can analyse application dump files.

My partner has had the issue numerous times over the last week - we haven't actually been playing the game much longer. Every time it has affected her when she is in the middle of or just starting an instanced dungeon. When she gets back on, she has been removed from the group and joins the duty finder again, she then 80% of the time cannot do the instance until she un-installs and re-installs the game. I had the same error message once last night in an instance at the end boss - I managed to reconnect and continue and complete the dungeon with no problem.

FFXIV is defined in our firewall as open, we have tried my partners graphics setings at various different levels. She started off on full screen and is now seemingly most stable on borderless windows mode. All hardware drivers are bang up to date for her PC.

I must admit I was blaming it on user error - she alt tabs a lot whilst playing - until I got the error myself last night and saw this post.

Any updates on what anyone else has done to resolve this issue - would be great.

Switching from borderless windowed mode to Fullscreen solved all the problems I have. I tried switching back to borderless windows after that nights patch and I had an error within the first couple minutes. I am keeping fullscreen mode on until they can work a patch to fix this issue.
I have also noticed alt-tabbing too many times in fullscreen mode can cause the same error and crash the game.
