The areas accessible in ARR are about the same size as the areas accessible in the Three Nations regions in FFXI, excluding those that were part of expansions.
I dunno, I may be wrong but I think Koschtat, La Theine, Rolanberry... are way bigger than anything in XIV ARR, and those were from vanilla XI.
