End game problem, and say no to vote kick! Plz

Ok so before I start on my rant I'll give some warnings first to those about to read.

1. I will try to keep it short but this may get long winded, you where warned
2. These are all my opinions and while we are entitled to our own just know that I won't be changing my mine, just getting this off my chest for all to enjoy it. Since I'm sure other players agree with me and it's nice to know you're not alone
3. Also intended to act as a warning for those who haven't reach end game yet, I will try to post spoilers but if your one of those super picky people who don't like to know ANYTHING about the end game before you get to it then please read no further

So I recently reached end game and completed the main story quest line, last night to be exact. I have noticed a bit of a trending problem with dungeons though, while only a mere annoyance early on in the game it became problematic at end game and downright effected by gameplay experience once I hit the 8 man dungeons.

The problem I speak of is the players, those attempting speed runs to be exact (or just being impatient pricks) I understand this is an MMO (and the first I have ever gotten into and reach game with actually) but the people in this game I noticed seem to keep forgetting one thing about this game. That while it is an MMO, it is also a Final Fantasy game. A series of games known widely for their engaging story lines, dramatic breath taken, and often emotionally memorable cut scenes. All sounds great right? Like the formula for an awesome RPG

Then you get to the duty finder. I was actually reported for "griefing" last night, by half my 8 man team because while doing a dungeon I refused to skip the cut scenes. Being told to "just skip all the content and watch it later in the inn room on your own time."

I'm sorry I thought the time I paid for to play this game was MY TIME. You honestly expect me to believe that in every other final fantasy game you people skip the cut scenes and play through the game then youtube them later to see what you missed!? (Yeah I was told that is apparently what youtube is for)

Don't worry, you'll want the kick feature just like everyone else after you have enough people trying to AFK through your dungeons.

The 3-7 other people in your group aren't paying, nor playing on their time right?

The game gives a bonus to the entire team for completing it with a first time player to the dungeon in your group, since you get a bonus for my being your party the least you can do is wait the 30secs or so the average cut scene last in this game. Hell even if its a 5min long scene you should wait. Take a smoke break, grab a snack, do some sit ups so you can avoid becoming that fat basement dwelling stereotype MMO gamers are known for. I don't know what blew my mind more, the fact that some people would think that their speed run was more important than a new player enjoying the story or the fact that the other new players to the dungeon said "thats just how the game works, we got used to it"

Well I for one will not get used to catering to people who thing their gameplay grinding is more important than my gameplay experience. The cut scenes where put in the game for a reason, to be watched. So I watch them when the game plays them on cue, I shouldn't be reported or avoided as a player because of it and I'm DAMN glad the vote kick feature doesn't exist in this game. I would hate to think that I can't beat the game without skipping some of its content on my first playthrough because trying to enjoy it leads to me being kicked!

So yes I am advocating AGAINST the vote kick feature for that reason. Auto kick for afk players after 5mins, yeah I'm all for it. Boot the leaches but do not punish players for trying to enjoy the game. If you people really want to do speed runs that bad then please find a group of like minded people and to the duty with them to your hearts content, but if you use the duty finder to get that new player bonus then you owe it to that player to be patient with them and let them enjoy their game, after all you wouldn't get the bonus if they weren't in the group. Least you can do be civil and act like an adult. We're not animals, we live in a society.

Unfortunately, this bonus is bonus exp so functionally useless. I would love to see a double stone bonus for running people their first time on dungeons, this is such a missed opportunity by SE I can't even stand it.

The problem is that the same two story dungeons that finish out your story line are also the best source of Philo stones you need for Darklight. I still have not decided if this was divine brilliance or utter madness on the developers parts.

PROS:
Extremely fast queue times for people working on their story quest compared to Cape Westwind and other trials
Geared folks that know the run and will get through quickly
You are almost guaranteed success
CONS:
Expectation that you skip cutscenes upon entering the instance and watch them later in Inn
Expectation that you know the fights (though they are all extremely easy to pick up on as they are happening)

So the expectation is that if you're in the duty finder queue, you're there for a speed run. If you really want a slow run to watch the cut scenes you're better off getting a full party together and queuing that way. Regardless, there is effectively no bonus so your argument is invalid. Though there should be one!

Regardless, neither here nor there as it pertains to a vote kicking tool, and even if it were used to remove players simply because they didn't want to skip a cutscene in CM still the lesser of two evils compared to afk abuse of the current system.

Screw that, your the one wanting to change how the game is mean to be played by speed running..you are choosing to use an open DF to find a group..if you cannot handle people watching cut scenes than your happy ass can gather a group together in order to avoid that.

These people kill me like them watching a 5 minute cut scene (most are not even 5 minutes btw) is cutting into their speed run SOO much..people need to rethink their lives if 5 minutes gets your suspenders in a pinch.

FYI.. No one will do that in CM because the "bonus" only applies to XP and CM is a lvl 50 instance. No one is gaining XP from it.

However my opinion on the vote kick feature is that it should be implemented. However you can only use it to kick someone after 3 wipes on the same boss. That way it's not beneficial to vote kick someone for the sake of watching CS but to kick someone that is actually making the group fail. Also after 5 minutes of inactivity from a player a vote should come up to kick them automatically.

Once you do the 8man dungeons for tomes and need to wait each time for the others you will start to bitch about it aswell.
And sorry did you just mentioned you started endgame while all I notice from your posts you doing Castrum and Praetorium dungeons, do some research first before you declare yourself in endgame..
