Also replace random characters with numbers that can simulate the place of said character (leetspeak)... These are more secure than just alphabetical passwords. Also , mix in some Capitals.
thanks i think i did that =pYou were most likely hacked. Change your password immediately to something unique to FFXIV, and make sure it's complicated. Do not share it with anyone at all. You'll also want to scan your computer for key loggers and make sure your antivirus is up to date. Someone else definitely got into your account. Also check your email to make sure it's not hacked, you may want to change your password there too. It's possible they hacked your email and were able to get into your account that way.
This is from the Lodestone . If you don't want to click the link, go to the Lodestone and search under News> Notices> Warning Concerning the Security of your Account . If you go from the lodestone front page it is stickied under Special Notices.

[Important] Warning Concerning the Security of Your Account
Info you should know regarding compromised accounts/protecting your account is there. Also if you plan to apply for an account rollback and report your account as compromised, you can do that and info is at your SE account page.
Good luck to you.

Buy less gil
And this is why you should never go to sleep...never.....
I normally dont troll, but if your level 50 without crafting anything then that means your buying all your stuff... Being at level 25 on all my jobs now, this could cost a pretty penny if I didnt craft my gear not to mention running out of leves... You sir must have been buying gil SE caught you took your equipment because it was purchased illegally and luckily for you left you with some cash... Feel glad you didn't get banned for life... And its not being hacked its being cracked... Hacker is a term that was given to coders because they hacked the keyboards where crackers was the name given to people who crack passwords and security...

That's not really the logical conclusion. A very popular method of getting trojans on gamer's PCs to steal their data is through ADs on websites related to the game they are playing, or the website is hacked in order to infect people. I have no doubt gil buyers can and do get their data stolen from the very websites they visit to buy gil, but it's hardly the leading cause to game accounts being compromised. The real REAL leading cause is using the same password for several services because you don't want to remember a dozen passwords, or because you don't want to fool with the hassles of using protection. He bought gold. Then they "hacked" him. If that's true ( the logical conclusion) then he deserves every bit of frustration.
I wouldn't know, as I havn't looked into it because I have no use for it. It's not always free, and it will cost you shipping and handling.
Also token is now free via iOS or android devices via download. Using a token is a nice last line of defense if somehow someway another person gets a hold of your login data. Unless you are using a password along the lines of this: r1A0n2D9o3M8m8R5pQ4sSs then you need to be using a security token, FYI to anyone whom it may concern, as far as I am concerned.

i wouldn't think hackers would wait around to sell your items on the market wards. I`d take a guess and say you had a girly fit and rage quit
Greetings Hansolo823,
We have read through this thread and feel that your account may have been compromised. As others have stated, we suggest you contact support center to get this resolved. You can reach it by going Here and selecting "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. Fill out the fields, submit it and we will get back to you as soon we can.
Good luck and have fun!
My theory with situations like this is that RMTs are intentionally trying to kill the market for legit crafters, hindering their ability to make gil and increasing demand for RMT gil.
This is why you see lots of farm items in mass quantity listed for 1 gil on the MB (when any rational person would obviously just npc them for 1 gil if that is all they were worth). I suspect this is also why they took your expensive items and sold them cheaply on the MB - to crash the prices.
