That said, I can well imagine the difficulty to implement this with the problem of the trinity ( a tank or healer on their own? muhahaha! 100hrs for a fight!), but the idea mentioned above with a helpful npc could be a solution!

Find a group, and play the game like the rest of us. I can't for the life of me figure out why you would pay a subscription fee to play by yourself...Would it be too much to ask that you add more single player focused content to break the massive partying up a little bit, like a single player version of all 3 primals and have the scions of fate help you out. Because it is becoming rather taxing to my enthusiasm for this game to deal with the multiplayer and all the BS that comes along with it. Sure we get the occasional leaves and occasional single player quest here and there but the major consent is restricted for playing with other people and the community of this game is a little too on the must speed run everything and FU if you can't keep up dude of things. Would be nice if you took a hint from DCUO and added Duos single player versions of runs so that every one can get the full enjoyment of the game without having to be nailed to the duty finder or deal with unruly players. just a thought.
Suckless, and all your QQing will go away.

This game is modeled after WoW so you are probably not going to be happy with the way things are going to go. My advice would be to check out games like GW2 and EQ2. If you play the right classes and have real skill for it you can basically do everything in those games solo or with one other person. EQ2 has a massive world to explore because its been out so long. Play a SK or an INQ and pick the appropriate merc. Then you can pretty much do everything up to the very very end game content solo. GW2 is a bit more difficult but with a warrior and a little patience you can solo most of the dungeons. There are a few that have mechanics which prevent that. Maybe more now since they made some changes to the dungeons. But still a lot of them should be doable.
FF14 is too well balanced class wise for that sort of thing to be effective however.
Some what edit although if anyone has found a way solo dungeon content with SMN/BRD or one the tanks, we should talk.
I bought Madden. I was horrified to learn there was so much football in the game. I wrote an angry letter to EA addressing the total lack of fantasy monsters in the game.
Summoners are able to solo some of the dungeons but it requires being in the best gear you can be at that level. Basically just spam heal your Titan Egi and... yeah. Not much else to it. Doesn't work for every dungeon, though.
Actually duos seem like a good idea to me, mini instances that reward lower lvl gear and what not.
Had them in DCUO and a tank and healer could finish one just fine, a lot of people just chose to take 2 DDs, but you could really run em with any of the roles combined.
Though I agree 2 healers running together isn't smart, but that's not a huge flaw..
I don't see why everyone starts foaming at the mouth just because the dude asked for solo stuff. You got your group content and plenty on the way, yet you guys jump on this guy for wanting to solo a boss or two?
Based on the way a lot of you have responded the dude is right, community is garbage..must be easy to trash talk while in a nice FC though..yet I have a nice one and still don't act so stuck up so I guess its on the person themselves..
I think there's too much solo-content as it is already. Bring back the perty systim, bring back the alliances and "Bring back the skill-chains"! LOL ;D
~'\[[_LEGACY_]]/'~TENTs because solo-friendly content forces me to want one!

I believe people are foaming at the mouth because the OP wants the game to be 100% soloable, which is counterintuitive to the nature of MMORPGs.
You should be able to reach level cap solo-- and sure enough this can be done by grinding FATEs and mobs if you really want to-- but the primary experience that comes from playing a MMORPG comes from the MMO part. Sure you might not feel like being social every single day but it's really not hard to find a FC or a LS (or both) for people who are similar to you.
