I sure do love random 90k errors followed by 10102 errors

Tried to do an AK run just now and we lost two people to random disconnects. Shortly after I was hit with my own 90k error and again 10 minutes later, this time immediately followed by the 10102 error. This was great when paired with the fact I got kicked from my AK group I'd just spent 40 minutes in and slapped with a 15 minute wait time.

Just a tip. My friend was having this problem of 90k these past few days , she do not have this problem since close beta till now. Found out due to her internet service provider route to SE server having problem. She use Pingzapper free trial and did not have 90k . So been using that since friday and having a better ping. Trust me sometimes it is the route your ISP take that is having issues.

Error 90000 is not the route your ISP is taking. It is, quite literally, the server coming back to you with 'So far as I can tell you're still connected; I'm not letting you have two identical sessions at once.'

Services like Pingzapper will certainly improve your latency, but I seriously doubt it'll totally stop unexpected connection failures on the part of your ISP (especially not completely) because you still have to get out of the most vulnerable part of your ISP's route before they can start doing their job. Though yeah they might protect you from losing your link to the SE datacenter in the rare event a connection way down the line suffers a blip, rather than your whole connection suffering a failure. And it certainly won't make the server not present you with a 90000 if you do suffer a connection failure and thus don't log out of the game properly: error 90000 is an error on the server itself caused by a connection issue.

I'd love to know what error message 10102 indicates though.

But honestly it isn't possible to know - my point above was more 'whatever it might solve, a ping improvement service won't stop you having to fight with error 90000 if you do get kicked'.

I mean, rule of thumb? Did your internet connection go out, or was it only the game that kicked you? If your whole connection went out, however briefly.. yes, that was your ISP and you might want to have a word with them if it's happening often. But if everything else was fine while FFXIV couldn't connect? That could either have been the fault of the game or the fault of a server between the game and your ISP (and then that might just have been a bad day for that server for which your ISP's routing can't be blamed, or it might really be your ISP routing through the lowest bidder); it just isn't possible to know.

Certainly though if you're suffering constant issues like that and your whole internet connection isn't going out every time (as mine sometimes does ¬¬) then a service like pingzapper might at least be worth a go.

Ping zapper is not a ping improvement software. It is a VPN and it works. It basically directs your ISP to the VPN server of your choice ( for example : New York server ) to SE servers in Montreal. It is basically a re-route. Anyway it is free to try. This weekend alot of players suffer constant 90k so this is what I suggest as it worked for my friend.

We both live in Singapore and use 2 different ISP. We do not have any problem since CB. Her ISP connection have problem this weekend constant 90k. Reddit someone recommended the VPN and the VPN re-route worked for her.

Yes I had 90k yesterday but then I noticed it was my internet having problems as my PSN kept logging out as well and my iPad was having trouble loading pages.
