    Unable to install game

I bought ffxiv and tried to install game. It says new version of directx is needed and tries to install directx9. This ends in installing failure on every attempt. I have directx11 which is working correctly and is up to date. I tried to manually start the game installation directly, it still wants to install directx. What should I do?

Uninstall your current version of directx

Run a registry cleaner or two.. CCleaner, Registry Repair Wizard, ARO 2011 are all decent.

Install the latest version of directx, or try directx9 instead

Can you be more specific with exactly what errors and messages you are seeing? And could you please post your PC specs? There is a template in the stickied thread on this forum.

I can't uninstall it. After my searching I have also come to understand it could be possible by uninstalling sp2 but since my version had sp2 already when installed I don't know how to do it.
I use Vista Ultimate 32bit. Graphics card ati HD5670. RAM 2Gb. Processor AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.80GHz.
It finishes the installation gauge, then give this error message - An internal error occured. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problem.
    Here is the error log.

Download the Direct X Runtime here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...a-9b6652cd92a3

Once you finish downloading and updating Direct X, try installing FFXIV again.

You may also try booting into safe mode to install directx (or FFXIV).

Yeah, I wasn't really thinking when I told you to uninstall directx, since that's almost impossible nowadays. So hopefully the Direct X runtimes work for you.

I'm not home right now so I can't test anything, however I have already tried to download directx from there and installing result is the same.
