In regards to grinding mobs, that depends on how you go about it. I was near Highbridge as a level 24 MRD
with my Choco out, spam-killing Phurbles between FATE pops. I was getting 350-400 exp/kill and I was chaining
at a pretty fast rate. I was probably getting 3-5k exp between FATE pops depending on how long they took.
Obviously this might differ if you are a CNJ or something.

I can imagine on a pure DD class (LNC, PUG, ARC) this might be a higher number, too. Obviously MRD is gonna
    kill a little slower, lol.

    1. Leve quests.
(Oh no I capped out my level quest limits)
    2. Buy experience boosters from your Grand Company
(Oh no I'm running out of seals)
    3. Move to a different area to do fates.
(Oh no, for some reason EVERY SINGLE ZONE IN THE WORLD... is empty)
    4. Jeez, thats weird, do you play at 4 am? Why not try making some more friends
who want to level sub classes with you?
(I hate you Aaron Tee, nobody wants to be my friend and nothing your saying is helpful)
    5. Um... sever transfer? Aren't they going to give some free ones?
(No no no no no no no!)
    6. Try leveling a little higher and just stick with it!

if you use an alt and have a leveled job you can duo the fates with you Chocobo either healing you or being the tank including nm fates assuming you do a lot of damage and have decent healing CNJ THM as alts are great at solo NM fights with a choco. obviously taking on a NM of equal level to you is pushing the envelope a bit or impossible for some.

doing trash mob fates alone is actually quite fun. makes pulling skills actually relevant. and it teaches you to max your DPS to meet the time limit ticking away.

going into fates with 300 people blazing away in fate parties has no redeeming value even the speed of xp doesn't make the sheer boredom this kind of fate chasing creates it makes fates about as interesting as Lobotany and the other gathering jobs.

being on a mostly Euro players server the down hours means lots of 5-6 people doing Dragonhead region fates. which made the fates interesting to actually play. when only a whm and archer take on and beat "the bigger they are" its a fun fight again not a 45 second cakewalk.

EXP chain mobs that drop good high demand mats. Making exp, leveling chocobo and making heaps of gil in the process. Win win.

OP is blatantly lying. It is absolutely possible(and quite easy) to solo FATEs. The only ones you can't solo are the ones with boss mobs(Cactaur Jack for instance).

All the normal ones are easily solable and I've done it myself as Conj, Arcanist, Gladiator, Lancer, Pugilist, and Maurader. If you can't solo them, you are doing something very very wrong.

Now this might sound quite silly.. but I didn't think about using the chocobo to help with soloing fates (LMAO) but I still stand with my opinion.

Dungeon exp is useless and should be higher than fates, especially with the mvp system coming out.
Guildhests should reset per class, not character.
Fates should still scale in my honest opinion, even the bosses... make them hard but still possible.

If your just trying to get to level 15. Why not have a friend power level you up there? 1-10 is about 7 mins total if you find the right spot. Then you have aleport fates and 20 hunting logs to do to get the last 5.

Couldn't help but notice the OP posted in the wee hours of the morning. If that's the time you expect people to be populating the areas and doing FATEs, you'd be mistaken. Plus, soloing FATEs is quite feasible as long as you know how not to aggro a million enemies at once. Heck, it's more doable sometimes than it is when areas are overcrowded - when FATEs end in about 30 seconds. (North Thanalan anyone?)

OP does have a point though. We need more ways to level. Some of us don't like whoring out FATEs all day. Make them a "do them if you see them" kind of thing we can do while being preoccupied with something else...like more quests for example.

Nevermind alt leveling. When new classes are put in, are we just gonna be FATE whoring forever? Sorry, but that's so dull I don't even want to think about it. Something needs to be done.
