You grind... You know.. like you do in EVERY FINAL FANTASY EVER... sheesh
Guildhests are only viable once per "character" they don't offer the "completion bonus" 2nd time round, even if you swap class.. making them a waste of time. Why would I queue for 30 minutes just to get 800 exp?1. No, and it already works that way, you can already solo any that do not involve killing a field boss.
2. Guildhests do not need to be reset, you can do them infinitely, just DF queue. You probably meant levequests.
3. No, there are different monster sets for each class.
Slow and boring, not to mention people farming mats will get in the way of exp chains. This isn't 2002, mmo's have moved away from mindless grinding.
See above, you don't get "completion bonus" for doing it a 2nd time, even if you swap class.
Read my post again please, I mentioned the zone was dead... on a popular server too! FC members aren't always eager to help level lowbies for hours, they don't mind running dungeons or helping with duty finder queues.. but asking them to come low level areas whenever I want to level up an alt isn't exactly an efficient way of leveling.

I just think more needs to be done, guildhests should reset, dungeons should give more exp than fates and side quests should reset when you swap class... this would help a butt-load for leveling alts.
Most people don't have this problem because they leveled most of their alts while low level areas were still jam packed... I'm thinking about the future here, when Central Shroud, Western Thanalan etc are empty. Even in popular mmo's like WoW, low level areas are dead. This isn't because the game is dying but because most people are already max level and the amount of "new players" isn't as big as a launch title.
my 2c. just trying to help future-proof this game.

I know one of the main things about this game is the ability to play multiple classes on one character.
BUT, the reasons you list here are the main reason I am considering just literally creating an alt character for different combat classes.
If I do create a new character than I can get all the quests back, I can choose a different free company, and I can experiment around with starting in a new city.
It kind of defeats the purpose of being able to play multiple combat classes on my one character. But, I do not really feel like fate grinding to 50..and I really don't like the idea of trying to do fates alone from 1-40.
The way I see it is they give us 8 character slots..I might as well use some of them.
