    Thoughts on Job mechanics for boss fights

    Just something I'm curious about how others feel on the subject, for or against etc, to pass the time while we're down.

    A clear example for this is Kain Vs Barbariccia in FFIV, Kain uses Jump to dispel her defense so the rest can attack without penalty. Obviously it would have to be incorporated carefully, and not where you want x4 DRG to say if Barbariccia existed in FFXIV (assuming 8-man), but having one DRG could prove beneficial. It could maybe even be balanced out to where Jump was overused, there would be a drawback, to prevent stacking of the same class.

    Since we don't have elements like XI, something to change up the fights sometimes, and of course have more than just DRG <.<... Just was using that as an example.

    Was about to say, while job specific mechanics would be amazing, it can also create the need to only have one job over another. The best way to do it is to have it so each job has its own role it could perform in a raid fight, it wouldnt be necessary to do so to beat the fight but will make it easier if the opportunity presents itself
