FFXIV for New "Nintendo/Xbox"

I thought a leak from EA had said that they were in possession of the prototype dev kits for the new Xbox, but then this was later denied by EA officials. I suppose even if it were true then they would still have to deny it anyway until MS announce it. I think with Nintendo announcing their new console it will end up pushing forward the launch of the new Xbox as they won't want Nintendo to gain even more momentum by having a bigger head start, launching first was what gave MS the initial advantage and i am sure this is something they will not want to hand over to Nintendo.

Apparently it won't have a hard drive, so I doubt a port would be possible.

Well FFXI was going to be release for the wii maybe they Nintendo was going to put a addon so you can put a HDD? am sure they can do something like that for the wii 2

You could, but at the same time WTF is Nintendo thinking not putting an HDD in the new console? Don't get me wrong, 8G is a big step up from the flash memory on the Wii (Only 512MB IIRC), but seriously, HDDs aren't THAT expensive.

SE had an Xbox360 version ready to go but could not come to an agreement with Microsoft over XboxLive. I don't know if they have continued to work on it along with the PS3 version but awhile back SE said they could have Xbox up and running in just a couple of months if they reach an agreement.

As for the problem with XboxLive, it has nothing to do with the servers or the hardware or anything technical...it is all about $$$!

Microsoft ran FFXI on the Free Xbox Silver and never made a dime from it. Now they insist FFXIV run on Xbox Gold so that they at least get that revenue but SE does not want users to have to pay Twice to play.

I however have a Solution: Allow Microsoft to be the Sole Distributor for FFXIV through Xbox Live so they at least make money from retail sales but still have it playable on Xbox Silver (free) but SE still gets the monthly fees.

How is it a rumor if Nintendo said they be displaying it this year at E3 and releasing it at 2012.

@SuzakuCMX The topic was made if for say xbox live change the rules and Nintendo allow it. Would you all agree with a port for New console "Xbox,Nintendo".

@Kilta_Firelotus i hope you understand all i said was Limitations said 3-4years ago which the space not even a issue. So there you go the PS2 reach it limit where they can do much update not only the HDD issue but there more issue then just HDD room. FFXIV on PS3 would reach a point where we are now in ffxi but i hope by then i sure they be a new mmo by SE so it does not even matter at least i hope.

No thanks on the waiting game, a re launch or compatability sure. But i think console players have waited long enough. They only needed to fix the game... not pile on content that pc ppl will rush through, leaving ps3 in the dust trying to play catch up.

You know you a pain sometimes no one care about FFXIV anymore the players who waiting for ps3 release by now playing rift or getting GW2 and wont not even care about ffxiv anymore.

if SE want ffxiv to last it should be on the PS4 look how hard there trying to make it work for the ps3. FFXIV on the ps3 would have limit sooner then PS4 then us PC users have to deal with it because console players dont' want to switch to pc in 6-8years like FFXI players now.

To tell you the true i was hoping ffxiv was never going to be release for console so they be no limits like FFXI have but w/e at least we get more players but i guess we have to deal with the limitations 5-6years from now and by then i bet you have quit and not even care about ffxiv and most of us who going to play the game in the long run have to deal with it thanks to a few players wanting it on the ps3.

I hope it be port later for the ps4 and then when ps3 get limitations it only be update for pc and ps4.

@Sweetheart FFXI would never be on PS3 they said it would take longer to recode the game for PS3 then make a new game that how ffxiv came to be. they made a new game because it faster then recoding ffxi on the ps3
