In the story quest "Ye of Little Faith," the player cannot interact with Goudernoux, a story-required NPC.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load FFXIV with a level 38-40 character.
2. Proceed through the main storyline until picking up the quest: Ye of Little Faith
3. Speak with the three NPCs the quest objectives lead you to: The gate guard, the storeroom guard, and the chirurgeon above the storeroom.
4. Attempt to speak with the fourth NPC on the second floor of the barracks: Goudernoux

Result:
* The interaction seems to be successful at first, but no dialog is shown.

Expected:
* The quest dialog with Goudernoux is shown.

Note:
* This prevents story progression.

Bug reporting feedback:
Allowing bug reports like this from in-game would allow you to automatically collect most of the information in the template above. While I understand that making the bug reporting process difficult helps keep the GMs from being swamped, it's very, very frustrating to receive a response to a bug report in-game that tells the player to go to the forums to report the same bug in a more roundabout fashion.

Forum search feedback:
Searching for "Ye of Little Faith" (quotation marks included) actually does a substring search - The word "ye" returns the word "players" and other words with "ye" in them. That makes the forum search pretty much useless for attempting to find out whether I'm submitting a duplicate bug report.

I am stuck in the same exact spot in the same server. Others in the server are saying they are also stuck in the same spot. NPC Goudernoux is bugged.

I am hoping that this is included in the forthcoming patch. At least it gives me chance to do grinding now and hopefully less later to get to 50 and complete the story quests.

A few weeks ago, Cactuar and 3 other servers had issues with Main Scenario NPCs in Coerthas being unresponsive. We made a consolidated thread here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tral-Highlands about the issue. It seems it is back to infecting your server and most likely other servers & npcs in Coerthas will get stuck. Thankfully the maintenance today should clear it, if not use the OPs bug format so that the mods can forward all the info to the devs and help it get resolved faster. The OP can also consolidate the reports in their original post like I did. Sad to see the bug is back, hopefully they will get a permanent fix in soon.
