Game Breaking Bug Question

I dont see any indications from your post and the other thread you linked that, GM accepted it as bug, or both of them have tried to talk to the NPC.
A quest marker in a strange area of the map is the indication that the quest marker actually inside one of the building there. You can see it when the quest try to point us to Waking Sand.

I hope your friend's problem can be resolved then.

Ok, help me help you. If you're on the part where you finished running around and testing the Magitek, and you have to return to Wedge, Biggs and Cid, you return back where you started. Which at this point happens to be the cliff people like me jump off of on their chocobos while running west from Revenant's Toll. They are at the bottom of the cliff almost tucked in the hole. Just walk out the West gate and drop, you should see them. If you're on another part of that quest, let me know.

Appreciate the suggestion, but he completed Everything She Does is Magiteck, it's the advancing to the next storyline quest that was the issue. As ZohnoReecho mentioned, it's like the game flagged him as having accepted the next quest when he didn't -- which coincidentally doesn't allow him to reenter the workshop.

@ZohnoReecho, I work in tech support for a large company myself and I can guarantee I would loose my job if I took even half as long as they have to respond to his issue. I know he told the GM that he was perfectly fine with having his character rolled back and losing some levels/equipment if it meant he would be able to redo the quests and continue playing.
