Does critical chance affect pets?

As a Scholar, if I were to meld a bunch of Savage Aim Materia to my gear, would my pet critical heal more often or does the +critical chance only apply to spells I cast?

I'm hoping an enhanced critical chance would also trigger the "Pet Action Effect Up" trait more often, resulting in more +20% spell speed boosts.

Note: I apologize if this has already been asked, but forum search results for combinations of "critical hit", "critical chance", "pets" and/or "fairy" returns nothing.

Not exactly sure but so far it seems like pet stats are independent of user's stats. Was mostly testing mind base values but since the healing remained constant, I would assume that it would be the same for the other stats. This is merely something I've observed from playing around w/ diff equipment, but may be wrong.

Pet stats are based on your own. Its stats are calculated when it's summoned, so you'll need to resummon it if you change equipment.

I would assume crit would also affect your pet. Unfortunately, I don't that big of an increase in crit from my gear so it's difficult to test.
