The only thing that will separate the best from the rest are end game NMs that drop rare mats for end game crafts. Keep in mind it's early and many things will be added.

Agree with OP. Make the AH like ffxi was, show the last 20 items that sold and at what price they sold so the market can be established. I watch the same weekend warrior list his HQ spinel rings for 2800g when they sell consistently at 5000g during the week. Why do they need to undercut by 1200 gil? Your items will sell before mine if you list them for 50 gil less than me, 1200 gil less is just ridiculous. I feel all the people arguing you sell for too much blah blah blah are the same people who don't have a lvl 50 craft.

I have a level 50 crafter and I have to agree that some prices for certain items are too high. Most things are in line though. Price match guarantee in place~

RMT's already sell EVERYTHING for 1gil. Wouldn't this just give them complete reign over the economy and endless supply of gil to sell since they would always be the cheapest prices for at least MOST items.

Sure, things like Vanya would cost more because of the material requirements but honestly a few million for that set is a little ridiculous when its easier to just get Dark Light.

One of the big issues with crafting here that is different from other MMOs is that you can master all crafts yourself. You're not limited to a set number which means there will, of course, be tons more crafters. For the most part The intention was that you master them all yourself which prevents any need to buy crafts from the Market aside from laziness. You would only really need to buy materials...which, again, only happens out of laziness. Materials being the most common thing on there would mean more RMT gil.

Of course, all of this is only assuming a "decent" solution to RMTs isn't implemented before the blind market would be. Aside from that, I don't have much objection to the idea or preference either way.

The only thing that a blind system does is slow down the market's ability to respond to demand, resulting in a much slower turn around on sales and a less responsive supply side.

I know you think you want it, but it doesn't help anyone.

Edit: and for those who haven't taken Econ 101, and can't understand the why, ask yourself this question: if you're in the market to buy, say, a crafting ring, and the only price listed is out of your price range, do you buy the ring?

Answer: no.

Aggregate that over an entire market, where the price doesn't move for a week or more because the history only updates when something actually sells, and you should be able to see how the market adjusts far too slowly. Particularly in a game where the demand is changing on an hourly basis.
